Depends on the song. A mixture of the aforementioned influential artists. Including some that I didn't mention by name.
I consider myself to be a songwriter above all things. I write soulful, spiritual, angry, soothing, funky, happy, thought provoking and flavorful songs all depending on the mood that I am in when I am writing. I do the production, arrangement, composing, writing and all vocals, lead and background on all of my songs. I sing so that people can hear the way that I interpret my lyrics and melodies. I think that I can carry a tune enough to get my point across. That is really why I do this. To convey my messages to others. My songs are an extension of me. I also rap as you will hear on Fly Away which is about time and not a girl. I am also working on a hip hop page and I will keep you all posted on that. Don't sleep.
