Breckenridge is a 6 piece dynamic Dallas/Fort Worth based band founded in 1988. The talented musicians play no less than eighteen different instruments and are at home in many different musical styles.

Keith Jones is a 20 year veteran bassist now with Breckenridge Band.Before joining Breckenridge, he had spent the last 15 years performing with Bugs Henderson and the Shuffle Kings.
Jones, was born in Waxahachie, Texas. He now lives in Chandler. The son of preacher and a "bass playin" momma, Jones was exposed to the sounds of the bass at an early age. However, it wasn't until age 13, that he actually entertained the idea of playing the bass. He then retreated to his room, with his mothers Fender Jazz Bass in hand. There he practiced and listened over and over to his early influences, Geddy Lee and Jaco. Once fit for public consumption (by his standards), he turned professional in 1988. "Being a preachers kid, I didn't even know you could play in clubs if you weren't 21." He played with John Sharp and the Blue Knights in Dallas, Jay Johnson, Brooks Atwood, and Grant Cook in Tyler, Texas. It was in Tyler that he met Bugs Henderson. Jones joined Bugs Henderson and The Shuffle Kings in 1992. Since then he has toured all over the U.S. and has done seven European tours. There have been many thrills along the way. In 1993 and again in 1996 Bugs Henderson and The Shuffle Kings received the Observers Award for blues. In 1998, Jones was inducted into the Texas Tornado's, who's list reads like a who's who of Texas Players. Jones is the most recorded bassist to have played with Bugs Henderson. With 11 CD's and a new DVD to his credit, Jones feels very blessed. "All I have ever wanted is to make a living playing music, too many people out there are going to jobs that they hate," Jones said, "Do what you love and love what you do, there are so many suprises along the way!!" After 15 years and over a million miles travelled with Bugs Henderson, Jones traded in his seat in the Suberban...er Limo, er the Jet for a little less travellin. Jones is pleased to have joined Breckenridge Band (The Premier Corporate Band of the DFW area).
This year Jones started working on his own CD project, hopefully to be released sometime in 2009.
