Working in observational documentary and presenter-led television features, as well as some drama, live broadcast, corporate film, and music video, I have gained an extensive skills base. At companies such as Real Life, Talkback, Century Films, S.M.G., Ginger, Endemol and the BBC, directing, scripting, story producing, and editing the final product. I have had the opportunity to gain invaluable experience filming all over the UK as well as Russia, the USA and Italy. I have also worked in programme/format development, and had my own idea’s commissioned for broadcast, and worked on 2 programmes that have been nominated for R.T.S. awards.

My rough diamond days as a rock’n’roll roadie, party basement DJ and bongo maniac have led after 25 years to my making television and music video for a living. Along the way I indulged as a musician with undercover success as a drummer and dancing fool in Cassandra Complex, a possessed vocalist and basic bassist in M.D.M.A. and finally as one of a happy band of techno-rockers famously known as the U-U-U-Utah Saints. World tours and college tours, from backroom pubs to Wembley stadium, from pig-sty’s to 5* limousine luxury have taken their toll!
I’m equally proud of the work I have been part of for the TV industry, notably Grand Designs, Don’t Drop The Coffin, Medics of The Glen, Picture Of Britain, 7 Man-Made Wonders and so on. I have also made some ground developing TV formats including early development on ‘Unanimous’, and full writing of ‘Knocking On Allah’s Door’ and ‘Real Playboys’.
I am also on the case as a manager helping to develop the career of Beer and Food Writer of The Year Richard Fox. Richard has now made in-roads into TV, primarily with 2 series of short programmes looking at local provenance and recipes for BBC Look North. Further TV for Richard is now in the pipe-line in the UK, as well as in Asia, Australia and the USA.
Finally I have been producing a series of new music DVD compilations called SoundsofUK, which showcases 25 bands and artists from a given area through exclusive live video and pop promo videos plus interviews, and is now sponsored by MySpace.com.
