Keith Mitchell has been a professional musician for 35 years. He is regarded by his peers and audiences as one of the finest performers in his field. Originally from Preston, Lancashire, UK now residing in West Yorkshire during the winter months, and working summer seasons in the Greek Islands,
Keithperforms a wide range of songs from the 60’s 70’s 80’s 90’s to the present date, he has played & performed all over Europe in many guises over the years, as a successful solo musician, as a lead singer of numerous rock/blues bands or as one half of a successful guitar/vocal duo, headlining in his own right or supporting top international best selling artists from the world of blues/ folk/ rock.
His repertoire is vast and while each tour has a ‘set list’ this is very flexible and he will gladly turn his head and hands to requests for past gems. From Eagles to Elvis, Crowded house to Van Morrison, Paul Weller to James Blunt
His current tour is called appropriately “The Acoustic Jukebox Tour” which accurately describes his way of playing & the depth of knowledge he has of songs from many decades. He says that each gig is not just about ‘him’ it is about ‘you & him’, without your involvement a gig means nothing. It has been said that a night in his company is like a night out with an old friend, one you can’t wait to come round again.
His playing is instinctive; it has become arranged and rehearsed with time, but is still loose, with space for him to go one way or another, to experiment, for other musicians to perform with him and not feel restricted. This keeps his music fresh.
Keith is as equally at home in a small intimate bar’s & restaurants or concert hall or festival stage in front of thousands of people.
On stage he is relaxed, informal and entertaining. His interactions with the audience, while being informative are amusing and topical in a lopsided manner, without being intrusive.
