i had a great smile, infectious laugh and a lot of heart. i liked to draw, listen to music, play nintendo (old skool kind) and hanging out with my crew was the most important thing to me.

i wasnt a girly girl, or a tom boy either. i was just Kelli. jeans & a T-shirt & i was out the door. my make up was always perfect. i had really pretty eyes & always wore sparkly gloss on them. EVERYONE loved the way my hair smelled :)

i wasnt a cheerleader, didnt make the honor roll, but i did go to a couple of proms & my last report card was pretty good. YaY me! i played soccer when i was younger & i was on the 'cheer team' in jr high.

i loved kids & helped 3 children in Darfur every month.
i had a giving spirit & still do.

i collected candles, fairies & pixies. i had the longest eyelashes of anyone you would ever meet. so long that i even trimmed them so people would stop saying they were fake! lol

i loved to play pranks on people- even though it usually got me in trouble. umm like putting a rubber band around the spayer thingy at the kitchen sink so that the next person that turned on the water = SO OWNED!

i loved macaroni N cheese, chocolate chip cookie dough (lol), Jolly Ranchers ruled, taco hell & ramen noodles, which we called "roman numerals" (family joke).
i drove my mom cRaZy(ier) by cooking things in the microwave in plastic bowls, which made them turn gross colors.

i supported the Carolina Panthers, the Tar Heels & the oHIo State Buckeye's!! i was a down girl that & everyone loved to chill with. i was pretty much hilarious to hang out with
i would do ANYTHING for my friends. some would say i was 'loyal to a fault'. remember Lindsey when you were in the emergency room and i showed up wearing my pajamas just so i could be with you right away? lol. yeah, i was THAT kind of friend.

i struggled with addictions to drugs and alcohol. the old lady tried to get me help but no place would take me for treatment in SC or NC b/c i was a minor at the time & they dont have adolescent centers :(

my mom called family courts in Rock HIll for help but they said i was too old for them to help me (i was 15!) so she called a judge in rock hill to get me probated into someplace, anyplace - she knew i was in trouble. Judge Getty said he couldnt probate me into a facility because i was a minor & to call family courts...umm yeah, thats who said to call you *eyeroll*
it was the same thing with every phone call, they couldnt do anything because i was considered an adult. i was 15!!

it was handed to me by the state of south carolina!

after awhile, even i knew i had a problem.
my mom took me to a "Dr." in charlotte who was supposed to be an 'expert' on teens. she was SO good that we had to wait EIGHT friggin months to see her! when our day came & we showed up at her office in Charlotte NC-- she refused to see me because i might be a "dual diagnosis" of alcoholism and depression.
WTF?

so after not getting any help, i had to wait until i turned 18 then i checked myself into a rehab called "Keystone". they only kept me for 5 days, so when i got out i did 12 step meetings.
i was doing pretty good until that night. i'm proof that not everyone makes it back after a relapse.
