    Kelly Carvin is a young, soulful, powerful singer/songwriter born and raised in New Jersey. Her music is a mix of pop, rock, folk, blues, and touches on a sound/message reminiscent of the 60's. Her songs are inspiring, relatable, compelling and from the heart. Her vocals have a distinct way of being sweet and sensual yet maintain a compelling smokey tambour of sassy rock spunk. Kelly's live performance is intimate and people can easily connect with her. Her overall persona and look compliment her songs, live performance and recordings. With Kelly's endless dedication and persistence, she has achieved many things in such a short time. Not only does she have the sound, look and message, but she also has a drive and purpose that sets her apart from the rest. Kelly Carvin started learning guitar and writing songs at the age of 18, and that same year made her way to local open microphones where she started to build fans. Since then, Kelly has written over 30 songs, and continues to harness her craft. She writes about stories, her own personal battles, and the battles of the world. She believes there is always a way to gain strength by overcoming obstacles. Her major goal is to influence a movement through her music that helps lift people's spirits towards positive change. She hopes to spread her message and inspire others to live with a similar passion. Some of the achievements include and are not limited to: * 2007 - Made 1st round of "American Idol" in Philadelphia, PA. * 2008 - Won 1st place in "Mercer County's Searching for the Stars" competition judged by producer Vanessa Rogers from The Apollo Theater. - Winner in "Freehold Idol" competition - Nominated best female acoustic act for the "Asbury Park Music Awards". - Finalist with her band in "The Break Contest" held at The Stone Pony - One of 3 singers to sing "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun", recorded by Cindy Lauper and written by Robert Hazard at "Hazard's Memorial/tribute Show". * 2009 - Kelly became sponsored by CARVIN guitars and amps. - Top ten finalist with her band for the "Singing Sensations Contest" held by NBC10 and Six Flags Great Adventure. * Venues include: The Apollo Theater, The Stone Pony, Katmandu, The Crocodile Rock Café, The Tin Angel, NBC10, various music industry conferences, etc * Played throughout the tri-state area as well as West Virginia and California. * Featured on many local TV, radio stations, and magazines such as The Aquarian. * Opened for: Lukas Rossi from "SuperNova", Jersey legend John Eddie, and Jeffrey Gaines. * Has studio experience and is currently working on her first produced recording. * Runs and maintains KellyCarvin.com, Myspace, Twitter, Facebook, Reverbnation, Sonicbids, and an e-mail list with close to a thousand fans signed on. Kelly has accomplished all of her successes primarily on her own as an independent artist. She plans to finish an album and release it as soon as possible.
