The song title thing doesn't give you enough room for the whole names of tunes. So really they're: Sheila Coyle's/Satin Slipper/Mills are Grinding, and Thrush in the Storm/John Brosnan's.
Anyhow, I've been playing Irish music for a while. I started on flute and whistle six years ago. Added pipes four years ago, and fiddle last year (and tenor banjo a few months ago). I love playing with other people. It may appear that I play lefty in my photos, but I don't.
I now have a lovely B set of pipes (see first video below)!

Welcome and thanks for the friendship. Eoghan composed the 'Octopus" for Flaithrí while playing pipes ... as a piper you'll understand:) Hope our music sets your feet tappin'.
(I see you caught a bird with your magic flauting, Kelly!)
After you've finished here, you may like to hear this poem sung on myspace -
2 of 230, walkaboutsverse.741.com: WALKABOUT WITH MY PEN
Once drove an old sedan, up north, From a place in Sydney to Cairns; Then to Kuranda I went forth, By train, to look without set plans.
I browsed through the trendy market, With fresh fruits of tropical kind; Walked to the creek through lush thicket - Nature’s hand giving peace of mind.
I dined in a scenic cafe; Then, outside, as I wrote for yen, Some passing Kooris called-out: “Hey, You go walkabout with your pen.”
Request or question, I don’t know - Assured voices, elderly men. That’s now several years ago, And I’ve seen the world - with my pen.
Im doing well. Pulling the little hair out that I have trying to get the CD done. Just two more tracks and were done. Im running a new session with Peter and Danny in Annapolis at FADO. So if you ever want to come out I'll come get you.
Hey Kelly, glad to hear that you've made progress on the chanter/drones. If you have any regulator tweaking questions you can toss 'em my way. I'd love to help!
Hey Kelly! So, send me some news on the B set. How's it playing? If you don't already have "The South-West Wind" by Ronan Browne & Peter O'Loughlin, or "The Whirlwind" by Robbie Hannan & Paddy Glackin get them! Certainly, two of the awesomest B albums ever!
