Heyo I'm throwing my birthday celebration at forbidden city this thursday june 7th. Hope you come or else i won't ever talk to you again!! :( hit me up for more info.
i'll promise you it would be alot of fun! Hope to see you there!!!
Good to hear from you on myspace.
I hope to see some of ya'all at the OJT Manhattan Arts Center concert this Saturday, April 21.
Wayne Goins was going to be on the gig, but I guess he is going to be in Colorado with a KSU combo.
I am getting the hang of it really quick (relatively..) Had it for 3 weeks or so now, and I am rocking the grooves pretty well... Holding down syncopated basslines while soloing is still not that doable for me, but I'm getting there...
Got some James Brown tunes down, some Metallica tunes (arranged in a more hip hoppy jazzy vibe), and some standards...
Anyways, like I said, man... 2 8-stringers and a drummer would be a SICK band... (one is the soloist, the other lays down the bass and comps, then switch...)
It's me, Danny, the guy off the CharlieHunter website... Just wanted to officially tell you that I think your guys' tunes rock.. Killer groove, killer pocket... Nice heads... It's all gravy!!!
For real man... Once I get my lefty 8-string, we should start a trio... two 8-strings and a drummer... like one soloist one bass/comper, then switch... or both full tilt.. the contrapuntal possibilities would be ENDLESS!!!
