About me:

Kelly Roberts was born in Detroit, MI. Kelly grew-up involved in Civil War and later Revolutionary War Re-enacting. She has portrayed a soldier's daughter, army nurse, light infantry soldier, fur trader, hospital matron, and a surgeon's wife. She was also the daughter that Abraham Lincoln never had. Her father used to portray the president during Civil War Days at Fort Wayne Detroit. The cover story was that she was a senator's kid traveling with the Lincolns for her own safety. She even had her own body guards!

Kelly Roberts writes young adult speculative fiction (science fiction, fantasy and horror).

Her adult speculative fiction, historical fiction and nonfiction ghost stories are written as Kelly Steed.

My Current Project:
Late Return:

1989 Marquette, MI:
Twelve-year-old Eryk Ryynanen disappeared without a trace on his way home from a friend's house in 1984.

In 1988, his remains were found in coal chute number 18 of Marquette's Lower Harbor Ore Dock. The police concluded that he had accidentally fallen the 40 feet to his death, despite an extreme fear of heights and closed the case; but Eryk didn't fall he was murdered.

With the help of a library book he had in his possession, at the time of his death he enlists Gerta Auchinkloss, a library borrower, to help him prove it and finally win justice.

The Inscription:
1990 Marquette, MI:
This will be the second book in the series.

St. Bartholomew School: http://www.stbartschool.org/ A multiple Skillman Foundation Honoree for excellence in Detroit education.

St. Bartholomew's Children Blurb:

Detroit, MI 1976

When low enrollment threatens the closure of St. Bartholomew School, the students take action to save it. But white elephant sales, candy sales and pizza parties, aren’t producing the needed cash. They pray each day for a miracle. Then during a horseplay accident, an ancient religious medallion is discovered hidden in the school. Many are convinced it’s a sign. Will the Rams be able to unlock the medallion’s secrets in time to save their school?
