About me:
I'm a lifelong resident of Vegas. It's changed a bit since I was growing up when Maryland Pkwy. was "the other side of town," the Huntridge was a movie theater, and you had to hide in the desert to hear decent music, but I'm hanging in there. In the past, I've been very involved with the local art and music scenes, but, due to the travel requirements of my last job, I wasn't able to physically participate for several years, although I tried to keep up on things from afar.
I am now back full-time in Vegas again and I'm very much looking forward to getting back into the mix. I do paintings, drawings, and canvas-based sculpture in various media as well as photography. You can see examples of my work in the pics section. Feel free to post any comments, questions, or critiques you might have.
As far as music, I like loud, deviant noise especially punk rock (early 80's style "hardcore" punk would be my preference, but most punk styles work for me) and thrash metal (like Metallica before they turned into a bunch of crying pussies and started making movies about their delicate feelings). Other than that, I pretty much can listen to just about anything (if I HAVE to) as long as it is something upbeat and not Brittney Spearsish pop crap or "I'm a fake Gangsta" drivel. I actually do even like some country and rap music, but it's very hit and miss (think Johnny Cash and Public Enemy).
Besides being a working artist, I am also a freelance writer and photographer. And yes, I am really an Anarchist. Feel free to stop by my personal blog at eyeam4anarchy.blogspot.com where I discuss political topics and current events that relate to Anarchism with some nonsense that amuses me thrown in the mix from time to time. I also write and do the photography for the Las Vegas area for Meefers.com a national online magazine.
Who I'd like to meet: One of the main reasons I put this page together is to meet other artists and great bands or musicians, so, if you are one and especially if you are local to Vegas, feel free to add me and send me info on any future shows or events you are going to be involved in and I will try to come out and support you.
Also, if you are a fellow Anarchist, Wobblie, or activist, who believes in basic human rights for EVERYONE, I'd be glad to hear from you. In short, I believe in natural law, peace, and true free markets, and I consider myself a syndicalist. So, if you feel the same, then feel very free to connect with me. If you are in the Las Vegas area and you want to meet me (and other local Anarchists) personally, I attend the Las Vegas ACafe most every Thursday evening at the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf across from UNLV.
