It is a real pleasure and joy to have you as a Friend, thank you. Become a possibilitarian.  No matter how dark things seem to be or actually are, raise your sights and see possibilities - always see them, for they're always there.

Have the best week ever.
Best wishes ever,

Let me be frank with you, because you are the indweller of my heart, the witness of my mind, and the Lord of my life. I cannot hide anything from you, because you directly witness all the thoughts that emanate from my mind. I have no fear of you. You are my friend now. Treat me as.

Let us eat butter and sugar-candy together. Let us sing. Teach me. Let me hear it directly from your lips once more.

O You the invisible One! O adorable and supreme One!

You are the apple of my eye, and the divine love of my heart, the very life of my life, the very soul of my soul, the illuminator of my intellect and senses, the very sweet mystic music of my heart, and the substance of my physical, mental and causal frames.

You are my sole refuge. I trust you alone, O ocean of mercy and love! Elevate! Enlighten! Guide! Protect! Remove the obstacles from my spiritual path. Meet me quickly. I am pining, I am melting. Listen, listen, listen to my fervent innermost prayer. Do not be cruel, my Lord. You are friend of the afflicted. You are one who raises the down-trodden. You are the purifier of the fallen.

O Magnificent Lord of love and compassion! O Fountainhead of bliss and knowledge! Pray, deliver us from all temptations. Give us light, purity and knowledge.

Accept our prayer. Guide us. Lift us. Enlighten us. Protect us. You are alone we adore, You alone we worship, on You alone we meditate, in You alone we have take refuge.

Be friendly to the poor. Serve them. Cheer them up when they are in difficulties. Be liberal and generous. Keep always some money in your pocket and distribute them to the poor and decrepit. Be kind, compassionate, gentle, sweet and loving. Be humble.

Do not lose a single opportunity in helping and serving others. Do not expect anything when you serve a man or when you give a gift. Thank him for giving you a good opportunity to serve him. By doing service you purify your heart. Egoism, hatred, jealousy and idea of superiority vanish. Humility, pure love, sympathy, tolerance and mercy are developed. Selfishness is eradicated. You realise One-in-all and all-in-One. Sense of separateness is annihilated. You feel unbound joy.

Speak a helpful word. Give a cheering smile. Do a kind act. Wipe the tears of one who is in distress. You will feel great joy. When you serve others, feel that you are serving the Lord in them, or your own Self. Remember that all are His children.

Spiritualise all your actions. Develop unconditional and universal love gradually through selfless service. When you purify yourself by untiring service for a number of years, the light of Knowledge will flash in you and you will ultimately merge in God.
~ Swami Sivananda

The true Mystic is easily distinguished

He spends every day alike in humble endeavor to do the Master's will regardless of outward applause. At present we are laboring to form the Christ Consciousness within, but when the inner Christ has grown to full stature, He will shine as the LIGHT.

It is a wonderful power which is centered in the Mystic at the time of his Baptism by the descent and concentration within him of the Universal Spirit; and when he has refused during the period of temptation to desecrate it for personal profit or power, he must of necessity give it vent in another direction, for he is impelled by an irresistible inner urge which will not allow him to settle down to an inert, inactive life of prayer and meditation.

The power of God is upon him to preach and glad tidings to humanity, to help and heal. We know that a stove which is filled with burning fuel cannot help heating the surrounding atmosphere; neither can the Mystic help radiating the divine compassion which fills his heart to overflowing, nor is he is doubt whom to love or whom to serve or where to find his opportunity. As the stove filled with burning fuel radiates heat to all who are within its sphere of radiation, so the Mystic feels the love of God burning within his heart and is continually radiating it to all with whom he comes in contact. As the heated stove draws to itself by its genial warmth those who are suffering with physical cold, so the warm love rays of the Mystic are as a magnet to all those whose hearts are chilled by the cruelty of the world, by man's inhumanity to man.

The true Mystic need not preach. His every act, even his silent presence, is more powerful that all the most deeply thought-out discourses of learned doctors of philosophy.
~ M. Heindel

God bless you

Men often become what they believe themselves to be. If I believe I cannot do something, it makes me incapable of doing it. But when I believe I can, then I acquire the ability to do it even if I didn't have it in the beginning.
By Mahatma Gandhi

Persistent effort in any one direction overcomes all obstacles. No obstacle can withstand the assault of persistent effort.

Persistence overcomes all obstacles and ultimately reaches its goal. Whatever it is you are pursuing, you will get it with persistent effort.

Have firm trust in God, and all conditions will correct themselves. They come and then they go when you do not respond to them. You do not allow them to hold onto you, because you have made yourself a centre of faith and fearlessness.

It is an insult to God to think that you are good for nothing. Maybe your goodness is temporarily covered up, but it is in fact there. If you think that you have got the potential for everything beautiful, then you will become that. Think like God, and you will become like God.

Sometimes taps go out of order and cannot be completely closed, and the faucet keeps dripping on the granite stone, and a hole is made in the stone just from the accumulated effect of these drops of water!

Persistent effort in your spiritual life will bring forth illumination where it might not have been before.

I have waged this war against myself for many years.

It was terrible.

But now I am disarmed.

I am no longer frightened of anything
because love banishes fear.

I am disarmed of the need to be right
and to justify myself by disqualifying others.

I am no longer on the defensive holding on to my riches.

I just want to welcome and to share

I don’t hold onto my ideas and projects.

If someone shows me something better-

No, I shouldn’t say better, but good--

I accept them without any regrets.

I no longer seek to compare.

What is good, true and real is always for me the best.

That is why I have no fear.

Disarming ourselves of our need to be right, of our desire to disqualify others, of our wish to remain attached to our own ideas and projects, and of our need to compare. The result of this disarming is an acceptance of what is good, true and real, and the loss of fear; a momentous personal liberation.
By Patriarch Athenagoras of Constantinople

1 Corinthians 13

The Way of Love

Love is patient, love is kind, it is not envious. Love does not brag, it is not puffed up. It is not rude, it is not self-serving, it is not easily angered or resentful. It is not glad about injustice, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Happy month of September!

The more recollected a man is, and the more simple of heart he becomes, the easier he understands sublime things, for he receives the light of knowledge from above. The pure, simple, and steadfast spirit is not distracted by many labors, for he does them all for the honor of God.

“THE kingdom of God is within you,"

says the Lord (Luke 17:21).

Turn, then, to God with all your heart. Forsake this wretched world and your soul shall find rest. Learn to despise external things, to devote yourself to those that are within, and you will see the kingdom of God come unto you, that kingdom which is peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
~ Thomas à Kempis

"It is open to you every hour to retire into yourself. And where can man find a calmer, more restful haven than his soul. Dig within yourself. Therein lies the fount of good; a fount whose waters will for ever well up, if you but forever dig ".

I heard a soft voice behind me, saying: "Return!" I lifted my head and looked around to see who was calling me and where he commanded me to return; but I saw no one.

Then the voice sounded again: "Return!" Not knowing where to return or how to get out of the darkness, I felt dismayed, but the voice called a third time: "Return to the place whence you came, to the home of your heart and shut the door behind you!"

A bright light burst upon me from above. I looked up, a dazzlingly light, such loveliness radiated from it as I had never experienced anywhere in the world. He then, all kindly, addressed me in these most gracious words.

"Welcome, welcome, my dear son and brother!" Saying that, he filled the air with such an exquisite fragrance that I was overcome with ineffable joy and tears flowed from my eyes; nor did I know what to reply to such an unexpected welcome, so I sighed deeply and gazed humbly at him. Seeing me so terrified with joy, he went on speaking: “Where have you been, my son? Where did you tarry so long? Where have you travelled? What have you been seeking in the world? Happiness? Where should you have sought God but in His temple? and where is the temple of the living God but the living temple which He has prepared for Himself, your own heart? I have watched you, my son, while you wandered, but I did not want to see you stray any longer, and I have brought you to me by leading you into yourself. For here have I chosen a palace for my dwelling; and if you dwell with me, you will find here all that you sought in vain in the world--peace, happiness, glory, and an abundance of everything. I promise you, my son, that here you will not be disappointed as you were in the world.”

No one understands the passion of Christ so thoroughly or heartily as the man whose lot it is to suffer the like himself.
~ Thomas à Kempis

Try to live happily in any place, under any condition. You will become a strong and dynamic personality.

Never complain against bad environments. Create your own mental world wherever you remain and wherever you go. There are some difficulties and disadvantages wherever you go. If the mind deludes you, at every moment and at every step, try to overcome the obstacles and difficulties by suitable means. Do not try to run away from bad, unfavourable environments. God has placed you there to make you grow quickly.

If you get all sorts of comforts in a place, you will not grow strong. Your mind will be puzzled in a new place when you cannot get these comforts. Therefore, make the best use of all places.
~ Swami Sivananda

No matter where you may go, you cannot escape the cross, for wherever you go you take yourself with you and shall always find yourself. Turn where you will -- above, below, without, or within -- you will find a cross in everything, and everywhere you must have patience if you would have peace within and merit an eternal crown.

If you carry the cross willingly, it will carry and lead you to the desired goal where indeed there shall be no more suffering, but here there shall be. If you carry it unwillingly, you create a burden for yourself and increase the load, though still you have to bear it. If you cast away one cross, you will find another and perhaps a heavier one.
~ Thomas à Kempis

Love should become your very nature. It requires extraordinary faith in God, realisation of His Omnipotence, understanding the power of love, and supreme moral courage, not to resist evil, but “whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, to turn to him the other also.”

If you had adopted the policy of “an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth,” the moral conscience in the other person would be completely buried under the evil example you place before him. But, when a man smites you on your cheek and, instead of getting it back “in the same coin,” experiences your love, the righteous way you reacted, he is bound to be profoundly influenced by your example; and he would sooner or later reflect over the incident, repent for his action and regain his moral conscience.

Love conquers hatred and enmity. Righteousness conquers unrighteousness eventually. Love transforms the heart of man. There is no better way of winning over an enemy, and of transforming an evil-minded person, than to love him and to let him see in your own daily actions the glory of righteous living.

Everybody has his secret sins. Few are born saints. No person is found on earth who shines with all the excellent qualities. No one is wise at all times, and no one is a fool always. The sinner of today is the saint of tomorrow. Hate the sin, but not the sinner.

Be not ashamed to confess that you have been in the wrong. If you confess your actions, you now have more sense than you had before, to see your error, begin your journey towards emancipation. He who is sorry for having done evil actions mends himself and improves quickly.
By Swami Sivananda

A kind mouth multiplies friends, and gracious lips prompt friendly greetings.

Let your acquaintances be many, but one in a thousand your confidant.

When you gain a friend, first test him, and be not too ready to trust him

For one sort of friend is a friend when it suits him, but he will not be with you in time of distress.

Another is a friend who becomes an enemy, and tells of the quarrel to your shame.

Another is a friend, a boon companion, who will not be with you when sorrow comes.

When things go well, he is your other self, and lords it over your servants;

But if you are brought low, he turns against you and avoids meeting you.

Keep away from your enemies; be on your guard with your friends.

A faithful friend is a sturdy shelter; he who finds one finds a treasure.

A faithful friend is beyond price, no sum can balance his worth.

A faithful friend is a life-saving remedy, such as he who fears God finds;

For he who fears God behaves accordingly, and his friend will be like himself.

Never repeat what you hear,
and you will never be the loser.

Tell no tales about friend or foe;
unless silence makes you an accomplice,
never betray a man's secret

Suppose he has heard you and learnt to distrust you,
he will seize the first chance to show his hatred.

Have you heard a rumour? Let it die with you.

Never fear, it will not make you burst.
Sirach

You must dig deep down into yourself to find the God within you, and listen to His voice, which is your voice. Do not mistake your bodies for yourself-neither the physical body, nor the mind. Each one of them will pretend to be the Self, in order to gain what it wants. But you must know them all, and know yourself as their master.

God is Wisdom as well as Love; and the more wisdom you have the more you can manifest of Him.

Be true in action. See God in everyone, no matter how evil he may appear on the surface.

Never wish to shine, or to appear clever; have no desire to speak. It is well to speak little; better still to say nothing, unless you are quite sure that what you wish to say is true, kind and helpful. Before speaking think carefully whether what you are going to say has those three qualities; if it has not, do not say it.

So be accustomed to listen rather than to talk; do not offer opinions unless directly asked for them.

You must sternly repress the wish to meddle in other men's business. What another man does or says or believes is no affair of yours, and you must learn to let him absolutely alone. Never attribute motives to another; only God knows his thoughts, and he may be acting from reasons which have never entered your mind. If you hear a story against any one, do not repeat it; it may not be true, and even if it is, it is kinder to say nothing.

A MAN is raised up from the earth by two wings—simplicity and purity. There must be simplicity in his intention and purity in his desires. Simplicity leads to God, purity embraces and enjoys Him.

If your heart is free from ill-ordered affection, no good deed will be difficult for you. If you aim at and seek after nothing but the pleasure of God and the welfare of your neighbor, you will enjoy freedom within.

If your heart were right, then every created thing would be a mirror of life for you and a book of holy teaching. If inwardly you were good and pure, you would see all things clearly and understand them rightly.

As iron cast into fire loses its rust and becomes glowing white, so he who turns completely to God is stripped of his sluggishness and changed into a new man.

Be wellsprings that water may flow abundantly from you and quench the thirst of human souls without them knowing it.

An Angel comes, brings you a gift or helps you and leaves. You do not know his name. Love does not have much time to explain to you who She is or tell you Her Name. She is very busy, and for this reason, She leaves you a gift and departs.

Love without having people know about it. He who gives love does not need to speak about his love. Sometimes you have the desire to explain to people how Love revealed Herself to you. Do not do that. Love does not want you to share with others that which She has revealed to you. If there is a need, She Herself will tell them.

You can love someone without him knowing it; otherwise Love loses this quality of selflessness. In this lies the difference between Divine Love and human love.

Love does not pay attention to the external forms alone. As long as you pay attention to only the external forms, you are in the physical world. When you begin to pay attention to the content, you are in the Spiritual world. And when you pay attention to the meaning, you are in the Divine World.

If you apply Love, the Angels will start visiting you every day and will bring you a love letter sent from your great Father.

When the Great One starts to speak to a man, light appears in his mind and a broadening in his heart, and he comes to love all people, all things, all flowers, trees and birds. For him everything is beautiful.
