At 27 years old, 10 years as a Dj and 5 years deep as a producer in this industry, Kemal A.K.A."Medusa" has proven to be one of the most promising new artists to look out for. Holding down his first and current residency 5 years strong at ‘Balance’ in star filled city of Hollywood. Known to be ‘the Saturday night’ premier spot for House music on the west coast. Kemal has DJ’d along an allstar line up every week from A-Z talent such as Jamie Lewis, Jay Hannan, Jon Cutler, Mr.V, Dj Spinna, Bobby & Steve and west coast icons; Marques Wyatt, Julius Papp, & David Harness and the list goes on. Inspired by the influx of ‘A” list dj’s, the music and talent was served to him weekly on a silver platter.
Kemal interest in music started at a very young age. At 6 years old he started learning how to play the drums, at age 9 he learned the guitar, and into his early teens he then picked up the bass guitar and piano. He continued playing all instruments until he became influenced by dance music at the age of 16. A week after his 18th birthday he began to perfect his newest instrument, Djing. Four years into Djing Kemals interests expanded into production & learning how to Engineer and Mix music.
His very first song ever produced was with long time friend Steve Chin, in which they wrote and submitted a collaboration to Eman titled “I’m a lot like you” under the moniker “The Worlds Most Beautiful. E-man accepted the project for his then upcoming album "Bang The Party" and took it straight to JellyBean Benitez. and was to be released on Jellybean Soul. Immediately to follow Kemal & Steve were invited to DJ at the infamous "Bang the Party" in Brooklyn NYC for the launch of their first official single. Soon to follow were two remixes for Seasons Recordings. A remix collaboration with Halo & Jamie Thinnes of Sumo's "Santiago Boys" and another remix of Spain native Dj Ino "Its Around"
Kemal spent the next few years listening, studying and perfecting his own unique sound. Putting life on hold for a few years Kemal devoted everything he had to writing music and becoming a more well rounded producer always looking for new and fresh challenges. It seems as tho his hard work has paid off as just recenty signing an excluvsive artist deal with Jamie Lewis's "Purple Music" family. Look out for various original & remix projects from Kemal in 2008 as we all feel he is just warming up!

THANK YOU KEMAL!! Especially for the tunes in the beginning and the end! You know me, :O). Most of all, thanks for still playing House as I know it, with Jazz and Soul and a tempo that allows you to feel and enjoy inch of the House essence! Too many DJs and venues have disregarded that true vibe and seem to be on some type of uppers, speeding up every House track, talking about "jackin'".
Thanks so much for the add. Franck G. Top 30 July 2008 … You’re on The Right Place !!! Take just 2 minutes… Check out my playlist and tell me what you think about it !!!
