Biography
Kempsey are four long time friends creating music heavily influenced by the nineties college rock scene, which they were put onto via a discerning older brother with a killer record collection. After writing & recording demo's in Flynn's basement, Kempsey are currently recording a soon-to-be released EP with producer Greg Wales (Magic Dirt, You Am I).
Kempsey have shared the stage with You Am I, Something With Numbers, Kiss Chasy, Cloud Control, Tame Impala, I Heart Hiroshima & Amy Meredith. Kempsey also played The Playground Weekender festival in early 2009.

Kempsey held the indie flag high, as traces of Weezer, Death Cab For Cutie and even some more bluesy feelings shone through, combining to create and enthralling combination. More about the songs and less about the image, the four-piece took every note in their stride, quickly winning the growing crowd over.
We don't have anything lined up at the moment- we're into exam crazy-times at uni and we have some rehearsing and recording to do! But yeah, looking forward to getting back into it. I love doing music stuff.
How about you guys? I see you had a gig last night- how'd it go? I would have gone to watch.. but alas... exam crazy-times :( You'll have to let me know of future giggage!

Hey thanks!! And you guys were awesome. There was one song in particular that I really liked- I don't know what it was called, it might have been fourth or fifth in your set, and there was this ascending guitar line throughout that it finished on as well... I think.
But yeah, really enjoyed your stuff- hope the drive back wasn't too unbearable.
