About me: I guess the most notable things about me are that I'm the lead singer for the band Sister Hazel and that I have a wonderful family. We have 3 kids - Chance 8, Marley 5 and Alaina 3 - who I am in COMPLETE awe of. I truly believe that they hung the moon. I play guitar and I write a bunch of songs.
I'm also partners in the greatest merchandise company in the country - Period.... Sound Wave Merchandise/Campus Customs. If you're an artist/ band (big or small), promoter or ANYONE who needs merchandise or a web store - let me know and I will plug you into a phenomenal merchandise program. Drop me an e-mail right here or click the link and shoot an email there.
There is A LOT that goes down on the Hazel side of things:
Touring, writing, recording, rehearsing, hosting/promoting our music festivals and events (www.therockboat.com and www.theRockslope.com), running our cancer charity foundation (www.LyricsForLife.org) and enjoying the community that supports us. It's the most remarkable community of music fans anywhere.
- Wit, wisdom and humor. Good.
- Naysayers and whiners. Lame.
- My best friends make me laugh and think.
- I love Truck stops. I have to spend at least $3 every time we stop at one.
- I love to surf, but these days I can't seem to find the ocean very regularly.
- I love to tour. It's good laughs, good people and good music... But I miss my family.
- I am fascinated with people in general. And most of the time I like them.
- Odd is interesting. Normal is comfortable. Kind is cool. Mean is beat.
- I think that cancer sucks. It ripped my younger brother Jeffery from me when he was only 18 years old. I miss him every single day.
- I get VERY excited about great ideas and creative concepts.
- I seek out great dialog and good conversation. They both give me hope for the world.
- I like dreamers and I believe that everybody dreams... It's just that SOME people dream only for themselves while others dream for us all...
- I have trouble with selfish people. They're like a rock in my shoe.
- I think America is an incredible idea. We should keep working on it.
- Sometimes I act like a moron to cover up the fact that I'm a jackass.
Who I'd like to meet: Abraham Lincoln and Mark Twain. Also, I'd love to hang out with my parents and grandparents when they were kids/teenagers. For that matter it might be interesting to hang out with myself as a kid. That would be weird but insightful.
Haven't stopped by in a long time. Robbie has written some new music. Check it out or not.
You will have missed out if you don't though... ;-) Hope all is fabulous with you!
