Ken Cooper is a singer and writer whose original songs are lyrical reflections on life, purpose and meaning, embedded in well-crafted melodies. Showing rich and diverse musical influences, Ken's songs draw on the dynamic energy of a life filled with experience.
Unlike so many songwriters and performers Ken doesn't overpower but instead draws the listener closer. It is precisely at this place that Ken appears to be the most comfortable. He strikes a fun-loving and interactive rapport with an audience.
Born in London, England, Ken emigrated to Canada with his parents and grew up in Saskatoon, where he absorbed the same influences and sensibilities as his 1960's songwriting contemporaries.
Ken communicates warmly and directly with his listeners. The songs he sings resonate with truth, and he plays with an easy going, relaxing style.
Ken has performed at Coffee Houses, Jazz and Blues Clubs, and in Concert, in Canada and abroad. In 2001 he made an artistic pilgrimage to his birthplace to renew his commitment to songwriting and performing in the clubs of London.
Upon return to Canada in 2003, Ken rapidly earned renown as the warm-spirited host of "Ken Cooper & Friends", a weekly live music venue in Victoria BC. Now living in the Comox Valley, Ken continues to establish himself as a songwriter and live performer throughout Vancouver Island and is completing his new CD "Fearless Love".

I really like your music. It is calm and personal and quite engaging. You wrote "Songs that engage the mind and relax the soul!" It's true ...a nice kind of spirituality. I like that. Nice playing btw. I like Vancouver too. Best wishes.:D
Thanks for stopping by Ken! I'll be streaming my full new album in about a weeks time, if you're on the computer, make sure to stop by and hear the new songs.
Ken, here's wishing you a great 2009 - hope all goes as you want it to. Faithless is a terrific tune you know, have I said that already? Stay well, Chris.
Hey brother Ken! It requires humility in order to see inside the soul of another artist. Often what we see is a reflection of ourselves. God made mankind, each and every one unique. What a great blessing it is for those of us whom have this gift-the luxury of self expression! I've never taken my own talent for granted, and I'm proud to be considered amongst the company of those such as yourself. I love your voice, and I could listen to your songs all day! Too bad you're so far away, we could hang out in the studio all day and write songs! I guess it's good that not everyone's an artist, or there wouldn't be anyone to run the world, somebody's got to drive the bus! Blessings, and Merry Christmas from the mountains of Western North Carolina, USA Mike!
Hi Ken, i've just listened all your songs; they are very intimate and relaxing, beautiful harmonizations of guitars and warm voice. Good work i've enjoyed it. Have a good weekend, Luca
