From an early age, Kendall had a special talent for performing. “As long as I can remember, I have had an interest in entertaining.” Growing up Kendall spent the majority of the weekends performing at various venues in Texas, such as the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and The Johnny High Country Music Review. “My parents would pick me up from school and we would travel all weekend to different county fairs and country oprys and we would return just in time to be back at school Monday morning.” When Kendall was 16, she jumped at the opportunity to move to Philadelphia, PA and work with a production company. Music consumed almost all of her time so she made the choice to home school herself through high school. “Being dyslexic, school was a challenge for me but my education was always a high priority.” With this being, Kendall decided to go to college and put her musical career on hold.

Kendall attended The University of Texas at Austin where she graduated with a B.A in Communication Studies. “I never lost my passion for music; I always said that if singing was the path I was meant to walk, the opportunity would present itself when the time was right.” And that it did. In the summer of 2007, Kendall moved to Los Angeles to attend the University of Texas at Los Angeles program. This program allowed students to take classes about the entertainment industry and offered them an internship in the business of their choice. “I thought that I could settle for working in the business side of music but once I was there, it became apparent to me that this was not where I was meant to be. My love for the creative side of music was too strong to deny.”

Kendall Beard’s self-titled debut album reflected her strength as a singer/song- writer, and introduced the emergence of a groundbreaking new artist. With a new album in the works, there is no doubt that Kendall will attract fans of all genres of music.
