(here is a bio that was written for me awhile ago, when I was still working on the album. I'll use for now until I write something new. :-)
It aint bragging if you can back it up.
So said the few who could deliver on brash promises: Clay before Liston, Namath before Super Bowl III, Lennon before Jesus; and now we have Plan For Conquestfrom breakout singer/songwriter Ken Dirschl, inspired as charged.
Only theres a catch; Dirschl never said a word to piss us off before this one! No bold proclamation, just a killer look-see toward his future direction. After years fronting the protean Toronto act Gasoline, a band that served as an all-terrain vehicle for his hard city country-blues songs, Dirschl moved on and into the studio, emerging with a fresh lyrical sensibility and more thoughtful song craft.
This is evidenced on You Dont Have a Clue, a departure if ever there was one from Gasolines balladry, revealing a more personal style that renders his inevitable solo foray immediately understandable. Some Men and One Night with the Irish close the deal on Dirschl; this is a singer with power and sensitivity, a songwriter with vision. Twelve songs hardly seems enough. Lets hope that soon a new CD will provide the embarrassment of riches promised here.

Hey Ken! I'm sooo glad you have kept For Reasons Unexplained on ur space!!!! I wanted to hear the song again after i think 2 yrs and i was worried you would've taken it off and put another in it's place but i'm very happy it's still there! It's got to be one of the greatest songs ever!!! It's also very catchy lol

Hey Ken, just letting you know that we will be playing at Reilly's (340 Yonge street/third floor) in Toronto, this Saturday July 14th. Doors open at 6:00 pm, our set is at 8:15. It's going to be a kickass night of Rock N Roll so we hope you can make it out, please let us know if you can attend.

I thought i'd let you know about "The Green Light Tour."
I have 3 friends that are doing an east coast tour.. Todd Sapio from the band "Language Room", Jen Woodhouse and Leslie Sanazaro.. at the start of may called "The Green Light Tour." The theme of the tour is Global Emissions Awareness and they are making it up to Montreal and will play with me!!
THEY WILL BE PLANTING 1 TREE FOR EVERY TOWN THEY PLAY IN. This will help fill the Giant carbon footprint we all leave behind!!!
My reason for writing you is that i am helping to collect donations. We are at $733 so far.
