BIT OF BIO
Kenelis are a 5 piece Alt Rock band from Farnborough in Hampshire. Sharing the stage with the likes of Reuben, Your Codename is:Milo, Fightstar and a Ghost of a Thousand. Had expsoure on radio stations such as XFM, Total Rock Radio Metal Head Radio and various Student Radio stations all over the UK.
Gig history has included The Borderline, Mass Club, @D2, Guilfest 2007/2008, Brighton Student Pride and other festivals and well established venues. They will continue to tour their album this summer at London Pride, 229 @ Great Portland Street, Nottingham Pride and Guilfest 2009 (Saturday & Sunday) with more dates to be confirmed.
In January 2009 Kenelis released their much anticipated debut album ‘Remember How It Felt’ produced by Angus Cowan (Reuben, Redwood) on their indie label Black Grass Records. The promote the album, the band have released singles ‘Nobody See’s Me (But You)’ and ‘Drained’ and produced two professional music videos. Their CD distribution includes HMV Store in Guildford, HMV online and digitally available on all major download sites.
Recent success includes; outstanding press reviews for their debut album and recent performances. Rapid album sales have exceeded expectations by selling out three times within the first three weeks on hmv.com. With a dramatically increasing fanbase and an already acclaimed debut album, Kenelis guarantee to bring something new and exciting to today’s music scene.
After a sucessful 2009 touring their debut album, Kenelis are currently in the studio recording their second album.
Kenelis are playing an extra special XMAS GIG at The Pogues Official Afterparty @ The Jamm on 19th December with Shane MacGowan!
