About me:

I'm an Atlanta-based trumpet and guitar player, studio owner and composer, playing professionally since 1968. I lead a 7 piece band called Solid State, that plays all original compositions written by members of the group. We have recorded 3 CD's and our music is often heard on The Weather Channel and around the Southeast. In my studio I compose, arrange, record and edit music for various international companies and local talents. My clients include Warner Brothers, CNN, The Weather Channel, various national advertising and industrial companies, and for many colleagues in the Atlanta area. In some cases, such as with a songwriter who doesn't play an instrument, I write & arrange the accompaniment, then play, sing, record, and mix all the parts. I also play bass, valve trombone, and enough keyboard to play convincing piano, organ, percussion, woodwind and string parts using an extensive MIDI system. Performance-wise, I play concerts and private functions with a number of groups ranging from duos to 18 piece big bands, playing and singing the popular music literature of the last 100 years. Still, my favorite is playing with our group Solid State, where we can stretch the bounds of musical expression doing our own music.
