Influences
I think every experience that I ever had, from the unsympathetic voice of my second grade teacher, Melvina Burton, to the talking brook that I stumbled upon in the forest two years ago have entered my mindstream and affected my on-going being. That having been said: Tom Waits, Peter Rowan, Bob Dylan, David Bromberg, Doc Watson, Bill Bruford, John Prine, Rickie Lee Jones, Lyle Lovett, Leo Kottke, Lou Reed, Earl Scruggs, Herman Hesse, Bill Monroe, Kurt Vonnegut Jr, and Curly Howard have changed the ways I hear things in gross and identifiable ways.

That sound that wakes you up in the morning and you're not sure if it came from outside your window or from in your head.
