I enjoy reading, writing, listening to music, traveling, and exercising (everything from jogging to yoga). Also, I love politics, current events, animals (especially dogs - my rat terrier Buster is like a child to me), the Kentucky Wildcats, the Tennessee Titans, technological gadgets, smart comedy, red wine, and any food with icing on it.
Music
I love all genres, but I have a new favorite song - "Into My Arms" by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds (well, it's not new, but it's new to me). It's been a long time since a song has affected me as deeply as that one does. Listen to it right there! ---------------->
Movies
New favorite movie - The Hangover! Also: Office Space, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Ghost Town, Napoleon Dynamite, No Country for Old Men, Sleepless in Seattle, Zack and Miri Make a Porno, Superbad, The Silence of the Lambs ...
Television
The Office is not only my all-time favorite TV show, but my obsession. I also like Lost, Entourage, Hung, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, and The Soup. And classic reruns of Frasier and The Golden Girls are awesome.
Books
I have two all-time favorite books, and they are both by Hemingway - 'A Moveable Feast' and 'The Sun Also Rises.' Nicholas Sparks books are my guilty pleasures; I always buy them as soon as they are released.

About me:
"They say the seeds of what we will do are in all of us, but it always seemed to me that in those who make jokes in life the seeds are covered with better soil and with a higher grade of manure." -Ernest Hemingway
It's funny (perhaps)...as I was watching the show last night I couldn't help but think of how you must have been DYING with the Ed scenes! He and Oscar would make fantastic drinking buddies. What'd you think of the episode overall? Hope your Friday is going well!
Just wanted to let you know that I'm voting for Barack tomorrow...I love the early voting concept! (For once, something done RIGHT in Indiana)...between a new Office ep, voting, a Pacer game and no Colts game until November...this might be shaping up to be a decent weekend!
I'm like three steps away from being done with my NYC scrapbook-and, since I'm an uber-nerd, I'm taking photos of the pages. I'll send them to ya if you want me to!
Oh, and if you don't already, you absolutely need to read books by Sarah Vowell. I just picked up "The Wordy Shipmates" after seeing her on the Daily Show last week and am almost done. If you've not read her yet, I'd start with "Partly Cloudy Patriot," move on to "Radio On," and then mix it up with "Take the Cannoli," "Assassination Vacation," and "Wordy Shipmates." She's a lefty, droll, and hilarous...basically me but in print.
So, I had a FANTASTIC time last week! I'm not sure how long it'll take my feet to fully recover, but everything else went pretty well. Weather was great and I, of course, got sunburnt. There are also 335 photos I took, so once I get some weeded out I'll upload them here and Photobucket. Do you have yours anywhere?
Have a FANTASTIC time this weekend!! Let me know if there's any major construction or things closed I should know about for my trip! We'll compare photos when I get back! :)
We actually fly into Newark...it was about $150 cheaper to fly into there than either JFK or LGA. From there, we're using the Carmel Limo Service, it balances out to about $13/each but their website has a coupon for $4 off when they pick you up from the airport. Send me a message if you want the link...happy to share the wealth! :)
Your big trip is coming up soon...I don't know about you but I can't wait for mine! Just reserved the car service from the airport so at least I know I can get to the hotel! I frakkin' can't wait for NYC, even though we're going at different times! :)
