Well Hello 2009 and myspace friends family & friends And welcome to Kenny Charles Band Page!
I have been a busy Musician For many years Recording and finding myself inside of music for the last 18 years...wow I sound Old But I was 15 when i played my first show and now i am proud to be in my young 30's and still loving everyday I write and sing and play music!
Since 2000 I have been Doing My solo artist Thing....recording A 3 song Cd At A Chicago recording studio in 2003.
I recorded my first 3 song CD as me kenny charles in 2003 and Have continued since then....In Late 2006~2007 I finished my first Full length 11 song Cd(Days Like This)...and it was a great experience All around Starting with the recording to the musicians And again learning and gaining experience which in this lifestyle helps.....see i didn't say business!
In 2007 I was Finalist in the John Lennon song writing contest through out the world With My song (Don't Give Up) which is like 2nd place so i am very Excited & Happy about that, its a great feeling since I Have Tons of respect and love John Lennon And his music:)
Also I just went back into the studio Dec 2008 at famed songwriter Jim peterik(Ides of march) and of coarse (Survivor) at his studio(World stage studio) to do a new single called you..I Co~wrote with lyric writer Jeff Kurtis & I wrote all the music and some of the Lyrics...I went in and used Jim peterik's musicians and Had Larry Millas(Founder of Ides of march)
Co~Produce and engineer my new song & it was a super success..and right now have 2 of my originals songs on hold with many major country artist out of nashville!
I Played in many Bands when i was younger, I played my first show at The tender Age of 15 @ the Thirsty Whale.....And it was a eye opening experience!
Growing up I loved all kinds of music growing up from the Beatles to the carpenters(Thanks mom) And Queen:) 80's rock and In the 90's started to expand and start to Dig country music.I was a high energy kid growing up and used every ounce of it on my guitar learning since i was 11(That's when i first started playing)And Never stopping since:)
I am very proud of my achievements over the years.. The people i have met...bridges i burnt... Bridges I have resewed:) I learned a lot in this business they call music..."BUT" I Do not refer to music as a business but a experience That i have loved and still love everyday I breathe ,The experience & lifestyle in this great world of music Has Changed My life With many people i have met over the years:)
Today I am focusing on my songwriting...with over 100 original written by myself(kenny) And other talented songwriters i have collaborated with! I Love to get into the story of life and it's corkyness and it's love aspect of it.....The hate aspect of life can go somewhere else:) But i love writing songs from the heart that will mean something to someone else just like it does for me!
For me living and growing up in Chicago has been a great learning experience. Cause the music i love and play from the heart My type of music Is not the most popular here in chi town...But i believe that if your heart~mind~soul and spirit are into it then go for it..who is to stop or say to you this is not for you!

I have had many people in the business including musicians, producers, publicists, attorneys & friends tell me they love my music...which as a Singer/songwriter,creator, producer, artist...it makes me feel that tingle in my gut knowing that what I do is the right thing. It makes people laugh, cry, sing and feel happy:)
Today in 2009 I have a focus and energy that is growing every year i continue to write and Meet New People In music! I Feel that In this life & world we All have Many gifts in all of us And Should never be ashamed of your God given talents and dreams! Never Let any other human being ever tell you that you cant do something or No, Unless they are carrying a gun...hahaha......Live for something or what you do means nothing! I hope this year will bring more memories more laughs more crying more everything life has to offer:)
I want to personally thank all of the friends,family & Fans Cause without your wonderful support i would not be able to have people to share my thoughts,music and life with:)
I am also proud to announce I have a full band now and will be booking tons of shows this year....it took sometime to find the right mix of guys and chemistry but i waited and held out for only the best.....So keep your eyes open for the kenny charles band cause we are planning on taking over this world!
I am glad to have all the people i do in my life today and it continues to grow day by day:)
