I'm passionate about my music and glorifying God in Heaven. I'm a solo act currently, but love to jam contemporary Christian tunes with other artists.
Influences
Jesus, Joseph, Sister Mary Peter, and most of all, Kay.
I am musically inspired by Mercy Me, Ryan Shaw, Norah Jones, Warren Hill, Jeff Golub, Nelson Rangell, Darren Rahn, Stephen Curtis Chapman, Chris Tomlin, Casting Crowns, Al Dimeola, Peter White and Al Stewart.
Sounds Like
Comparisons of my music have been made to more traditional Christian hymns. My lyrics are more contemporary.
Myspace Backgrounds
Hey, this is Kenny. I was born in Tampa, Florida. Mom is from Bogota, Colombia. Dad from Portland, Oregon. Maybe that's why I'm a little mixed up. I graduated from the USAF Academy Prep School and received an appointment to the USAF Academy in Colorado Springs. I voluntarily left the Academy, attended Columbia School of Broadcasting and landed my first job in radio at KTAM Bryan/College Station, Texas. From there I did mornings at KTFM, San Antonio and KLOL, Houston where I won Billboard Magazine's AOR Major Market Air Personality of the Year award. At KZLA in Los Angeles, I assisted in creating "Z Nite" - a Sunday evening program that featured jazz/fusion artists and mainstream soft rock artists. In the 90’s I was the morning host for KRWM Seattle. My family and I moved to South Florida April 1,1997 as morning host of WLVE, Love 94 - Miami’s Smooth Jazz. And in August of 2003, I became morning host of KJCD Smooth Jazz 104.3 in Denver. I can’t think of a better environment to work, worship and raise a family than Denver, Colorado. I play the guitar and enjoy being a Christian songwriter with published material performed at congregations around the country. Check out my other site at www.noblecortes.com/Kenny. Welcome to my page.
I am also inspired by the beauty of this BMW. I hope to have one FREE by the 4th of July. You can have one too. I'm really, really serious. ViSalus will get me into my BMW and ViSalus can do the same for you. For more info, click the link below.
