  • Music

Tom Waits ORPHANS and a few of his previous recordings. Richard Thompson. Luke Kelly, Andrew Clermonts' "The Longing", lots of old blues and plenty of Guy Clark, Townes Van Zandt and John Prine. "The Planet" on ABC Radio National. Levon Helms Dirt Farmer and Malcom Holcombe. Jacob Miller & Inner Circle fine fine reggae
  • Movies

I finally got to see Latcho Drom. Gypsy music feast. No Country For Old Men was ok. The Knowing.
  • Television

Mostly it's pretty much lowest common denominator stuff. The programmers must be a pretty boring pack. They can't tell the differece between 7.30pm and 7.40pm. They probably spend most of their free time licking the private areas of corporate dogs.
  • Books

J.Krishnamurti is a must read.Richard Brautigan, Terrence McKenna, Deepak Chopras' Power,Freedon and Grace, and much much more. I'm a big fan of libraries and bookshops. Phillip K Dick, Louis Lamour, Tom Robbins, Karl Hiaasen, Tim Flannery, Marquez, Henry Miller, James Lee Burke, DeLilo, Thoreaux . . the list goes on . . lately i enjoyed The Lieutenant by Kate Greville and Robbery Under Arms by Rolf Bolderwood. I think for pure word power, Moby Dick is a must.
  • Heroes

DO WE REALLY HAVE TO HAVE THEM. As Terrence McKenna once said, "Culture is not your friend". John Howard had soldiers for his heroes. I wonder why his son hasn't gone to war.

Networking

  • I offer experience in getting rid of the pretention. What we do is replace it with some firm realities all given some credible descriptive nuances.

  • I was only joking about the tambourine. I was looking for Tuba, actually I don't like tambourines at all. They should all be recycled and turned into harmonicas and given to children. BUT WHAT I WANT IS GIGS. but not for peanuts.

  • You didn't know that, did ya. I'm more of a go slow dancer when I can be bothered. Which is not very often and never worth watching. I only do it for the money. Not the fame.
