Anything, really. Songs come out of anything. Usually conversations that lead to songtitles that then lead to songs.

Sounds Like
During the rectification of the Vuldronaii the Traveller came as a large, moving Torb. Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the Meketrex supplicants they chose a new form for him--that of a giant Sloar. Many Shubs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Sloar that day, I can tell you.
Our eponymous hero travels the land, guitar in hand, singing songs to people in dark rooms. This is not a tale of heartbreak and bedroom poetry; This is the story of a man in his early twenties from the west of Scotland telling stories of what he knows. Run down towns, people passed out in kitchen sinks, surreal visits to parks at 4 in the morning, bad nights out and worse mornings topped off with articulated rants against musical hierarchy.
So, what’s happened so far?
After leaving my band in January 2007, I started booking shows and went straight out on tour for all of 2007 playing 100 gigs all over the UK and one show in Toronto, Canada.
Along the way, I was selling a 4-track EP of home recordings. A few student radio stations picked up the song ‘Camera’ from the EP. I sold 200 copies of the EP over the course of the year. I also began circulating stickers and badges that bore the legend ‘Kenny Leckie is the Bible’.
I appeared on a few compilations including ‘Acoustic Punk, Volume 1’ (released digitally and on CD in North America) and a Biffy Clyro covers album (released digitally and on CD in Europe).
I put together my band in July and we started to gig feverously as we had become a more potent beast than I ever imagined. I played a few festivals including two nights at the Edinburgh Festival. I released a short run split single with Dave Hughes in November. We ended up doing quite a bit of press for that as well as a whole bunch of great gigs.
I’ve played gigs with The Holloways, Frank Turner, Chris T-T, The Crimea, Longwave, Tempercalm, Alan McKim, Twin Atlantic, Terra Diablo, Brady Cole, No Kilter, Mistakes in Animation, Beans On Toast and hilariously, Napalm Death.
2009 Update…
So, it’s a new year and a new dawn. I’ve been very busy with the other band but I’ve been working on some new songs and I’m planning on doing a new E.P. this year with tours to follow. Stay peeled.
I also play in a band called CARNIVORES. Check the top friends and get us added.
‘Dynamic and different…some acts find it difficult to create a distinctive identity in an overcrowded market but this simply isn’t a problem for Kenny Leckie’

Times New Viking "Rambunctious to new standards of blessed impenetrability, Ohio trio Times New Viking’s simple-on-paper M.O. is to take the sweetest of super-sweet pop music, indiefied though it is, and strip it of its outer layers of glitz and gloss. The result is music that crackles and fuzzes, screams and roars; it’s an X-Factor audition in a spin-dryer, potential sing-alongs rendered riotously raw through purposeful deconstruction."
