Many think they do or feel as if they have meet his acquaintance sometime before. Perhaps it’s just destiny meeting up with time…Whether you have met him before or not, you will find out who this Man of God is through his music. Kenny Wayne Smith has been singing for years now. For the most part, he sang with his family group “Joy” and was later afforded the opportunity to minister with one of Austin’s prominent ensembles, “A Remnant of Levites”. While singing with both groups, he was blessed with the opportunity to share the stage with notable artist such as Kim Burrell, The Clark Sisters, Detour 180, By the Tree, Tye Tribbett, Sanctus Real and many more. These circumstance provided experience and maturity, out of which was birthed “They Kenny Wayne Band”.
The Band is made of individuals who have an intense passion for worship and take pleasure in sharing the message of our Saviour. The Band consist of a keyboardist, two lead and bass guitarist and percussionist along with 3 background vocalist unified together to complete the “Kenny Wayne Band” experience. On May 10th, 2008 began the Kenny Wayne Band’s journey when they were exclusively introduced to the Austin area. This event initiated an instantly recognizable buzz.
