Grew up playing violin and singing in choruses and choirs -- so my first love is Classical music.
So here are two of Richard Strauss' Four Last Songs on poetry by Hermann Hesse "the unguarded spirit wants to float free on wings...live deeply and a thousandfold" performed by the incomparable Elisabeth Schwarzkopf.
During college got to liking the Mamas and the Papas and similar groups. Didn't like rock much until the late '60's and acid rock came along, plus groups like Led Zeppelin. Still listen to the ballads -- Loggins and Messina, Cat Stevens. Love Annie Lenox and Pat Benatar. Kind of took a break in the late 80's and the 90's. Certain friends are trying to resuscitate me with groups like Alter Bridge -- we shall see if I am beyond hope! lol!
Jeff Buckley, "Hallelujah" -- a full version, thanks to JJay finding it for me.
About me: I'm here on MySpace to keep in touch with friends from bodybuilding and fitness, and to meet new people who share that interest. If we don't yet know each other, I appreciate a message along with a friends request.
You can take a look at my blog on "judging" to get an idea of my past and current involvement. I look forward to hearing from everyone!
Thank you! The photographer was amazingly creative. We just shot on spec...not sure who would publish these types of images. We're going to shoot again soon for some cover trys.
Hey Ken, Long time since I was on here. Since I haven't moved yet, I'm going to go back to making some plans on that project I was telling you about a few months ago involving Sagi. I spoke with someone that deals with media relations in the athletic dept. at UNC (Colorado) today. He said that he might have some interest and will get back with me when he can. Well, have a great Labor Day weekend and keep in touch!
lol! Thanks for the photo comments. I didn't know that the fitness program here was going to be so masochistic...maybe brain damage is the next step to becoming a bodybuilder. oh, chuckle, chuckle.
Hey Hey Ken! So James emailed me about the blog... That is pretty funny stuff. "jayttney?" lol How have you been? Let's secretly go to England and steal James so he can come back to LA! sound like a plan?
Hey thanks Ken! Yeah, I have one more semester of class and then one semester with just an internship and I'll be done. Don't care so much about the internship... I just want my classes to be over with!!!
Yeah I was in New Orleans for 8 days for work...back home now. IT WAS CRAZY THERE! Bourbon Street was very DIFFERENT...lol. Have never had that much seafood ever before. Went on a Alligator swamp tour and got to feed some alligators and ride on those huge fan jet boats. It was killer! Back in KC now. Going to Vegas soon to visit with an old friend of mine from back in elementary.
