Originally from Boulder, Colorado, I moved to Nashville to pursue my love of songwriting. My focus is country music, and I also enjoy writing rock & relaxing instrumental music. Highlights so far include:
- Writing with some amazing hit writers including Craig Bickhardt, Craig Wiseman, Jason Blume, Philip Douglas, Joie Scott, Burton Collins and Cal Sweat.
- Song placed on country artist Keith Bryant's debut album (Lofton Creek Records).
- Song in the USA Network Film "The Last Ride" starring Dennis Hopper.
- Song placed on Canadian based artist Kevin Chase's album and released as the first radio single.
- Two songs placed in CMT's show "Home Blitz".
- Released two relaxing instrumental CDs, visit: www.kentforward.com
- Had several instrumental compositions included in an award winning PBS documentary, Every 15 Minutes.
- Had 3 songs cut on a NASCAR promo CD featuring the artist Blue Miller ( formerly of The Gibson/Miller Band and Bob Seger's Silver Bullet Band) which distributed over 1,000,000 copies.
... and the journey continues!

Kenster!~ Thanks for listenin' to the new stuff, and I'm glad you're liking it...Hope all is well in Tennessee, the songs are flowin', and the bats are behaving...God bless!
Kent, thanks so much for the add! I hope to meet you in person soon. Do you ever go to The Listening Room Cafe in Cummins Station? If so, I just might see you there. Tell Lisa HI for me. Thanks again. Jan
Mr. Kent...Just wanted to drop in like a mad bat on an Autumn day and say hey...I miss your zucchini man, and your great pasta that goes on the side...That's what she said...Have you been writin any?...Fishin, sittin' on a pine docks?...I miss Nashville, and I've been meaning to tell you that Gretchen sends her love...See ya Kentster!
Hi Kent! Really good songs you've got here. But one of my very favorites is the one on your SongU profile page that you co-wrote with Jason Blume titled "Hearts Break in Waves". I've got a feeling I'm going to hear that one climb to #1 (I know it has to get cut first, but I think it will only be a matter of time before it is).
Just got home last night and thanks for your kind comment! It was such a pleasure meeting you and Lisa! Everything always goes by way too fast at the Bluebird. . .but I am still hearing "Rocky Mountain Girl" in my head!
Kent...You're too kind...I'm glad you like the cd and thanks a million for purchasing one...However, I wish you'd bought 6 of them...Coasters are a good thing buddy...=)
Looking forward to getting back to Nashville and seeing all of you...
Watch out for baked zucchini bats, they're nuts this time of year...Especially if you roll a beer...
Hi Kent, Nice songs my friend. "Younger and Wiser" is most appealing to me, though I can appreciate "Above Ground," and the others, as well. Very nice writing style. I wish you much success in N'ville. Please stop by sometime and listen to some of my stuff.
Hi Kent! Thanks so much for the add. I have been enjoying your music--Rocky Mountain Girl of course, love your vocal on that too, and also really dig Above Ground! Looking fwd to our Bluebird round on June 17th!
Hello Kent! Greetings from Canada! I just wanted to thank you for adding me to your friends and for making such great music! It's fantastic! have a good weekend! Seth.
Hey Bud. Thanks for the Add. I miss cuttin' up with ya'. New music on page sounds great! I am guessing social life has taken a big dip without all the "data entry" groupies trolling you around. HA HA! Cheers, Randy
