Kent hailes from Nebraska where he honed his skills at a young age. He has played several venues throughout the midwest,and has opened for many major artists which include Faron Young,Lee Roy Parnell,Bryan White,Rascal Flatts,Connie Smith,Justin Tubb,Wade Hayes,and others.
Kent got his start during his teen years at "The Red Barn Opry Showhouse" in Omaha,which led to an opportunity to play The Ernest Tubb Midnight Jamborree live @ The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville Tn. Later playing the "Nebraskaland Opry Show" with Larry Good and the cast.
In the early 1990's Kent joined "The High Caliber Band" a six piece group that became one of the most sought after bands in the midwest.
By 1997 Kent formed his own group and started performing at different venues in the Omaha/Council Bluffs area.
