Who is Josh Branham? Who Cares??? Well you do, apparently! Josh Branham is a man, a big man. Though not so big, and not much of a man. His comedy is cerebral, yet simple. Josh’s unabashed views of life as he searches for love and money, whichever comes first, has led to numerous appearances at clubs & colleges across the United States. Sometimes to perform.
Josh was born in the Midwest, but he was raised in small-town Kentucky. Josh always knew he wanted to be a comedian, but it took him awhile to grow some…courage. In 2003 he performed stand-up for the first time at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles after realizing he had no self-esteem to risk.
Josh’s family provides the backdrop to his comedy, and perhaps some explanations. Mix a very conservative father with a mother who thinks she’s an American idol, add an Aunt Jerry and an Uncle Sherry, a heavy dose of embarrassment, four redneck siblings, and finish with a twist of irony. It’s a recipe everyone can enjoy!
Josh has featured for Bob & Tom favorites Etta May and Mike Armstrong as well as a host of other headlining comedians. His performances includes stops at:
Comedy Off Broadway; Lexington, Kentucky
The Jukebox; Peoria, Illinois
Captain Briens; Marco Island, Florida
Comedy Caravan; Louisville, Kentucky
