Darlene Zschech - Change Your World ..
Kenya sow or go is a ministry of the Eagles Nest Christian Centre in Yass, NSW, Australia.
My name is Sylvia Suhr, a mother to four and grandmother to six.
I am 63 years. Born in the UK and immigrated to Australia in 1968.
I was born again in 1982 in Melbourne Australia and have been on the God journey ever since then.
My mission is to preach the gospel and carry the love of God to Africa and Asia.
I started my overseas missions in 1997 when I went to the Philippines with a team from our church with Pastor David Croker.
We went to Butuan in Mindinao where we shared our testimonies and preached the gospel.
Thousands of people had the opportunity to have their lives and circumstances changed by the power of God.
Many miracles were recorded...blind eyes were opened...the lame walked and many were set free from the bondage of satan.
My next mission was to Kenya with a team from another church.
God said to me, "Many of my children in Africa are dying with no arms to hold them"
Even though I didn't have the money to go on this mission I said 'yes' to God and He showed me to sell all that I had and just go!
When I met up with the team in Sydney I asked them if it would be ok for me to stay on in Kenya after the team had left and they agreed.
On this mission we taught in the bible school, preached at crusades, shared our testimonies and saw many lives changed by the power of God.
After the team left I continued to teach in the schools and churches and saw many things that changed my life forever.
I remember seeing a child of two years whos parents had died from HIV/AIDS he looked like a 6 month old baby as I carried him out of the back of a hut where he was dying from malnutrition and dehydration.
Many people leave the children to die when the parents have died with HIV/AIDS because of the stigma attached.
I came home after 4 months but I was never to be the same again.
In 2003 I again set off on another adventure, this time back to England to visit my family and work with the aged and disabled for 9 months.
It was good to see my family again and God was able to restore relationships with members of my family.
From England I went back to Kenya.
This time to a place called Mbita, a little fishing village by the shores of Lake Victoria.
I lived amongst the people of Mbita for almost 2 years and got to know a lot of their language and customs.
My memories of Mbita are very precious as thousands of people came to know Jesus during the time I was there and took teams out to the villages to preach the gospel.
I returned home and stayed with my daughter for some time but my heart was breaking for the lost in third world countries.
I was invited to visit a pastor and work alongside him at Smokey Mountain in Manila in the Philippines and so again I packed my bags and off I went.
This was also a time of fruitfulness as any of the people there were open to the gospel message and turned to Jesus.
We were able to help distribute nutrition to many of the children and saw many lives changed there too.
In October of 2007 I again set flight to Africa.
I went to Malawi to visit Bishop Beston Makawa in Blantyre.
I was very warmly met at the airport by Beston and the team.
I love Malawi and the people are so humble and gentle.
The team had such a beautiful sense of unity and one-ness and we were able to visit many of the remote villages and preach the gospel and see the lealing power of God in action as we layed hands on the sick.
From Malawi I flew to Kenya where I was met at the airport by some very friendly people with a lovely bunch of flowers.
Michael Wafula is a special man who has 21 children, most of these are not his own but children he has adopted.
The house he used to live in has now become a school for orphans in Kitale and he rents a house for himself, his wife and some of the younger children.
I was able to speak at a youth conference there about the love of God and His power to change lives and see people set free.
From Kitale I travelled to Homa Bay where I met with a friend from Mbita who I was to work alongside for the next few months.
Ben Ouko was the YWAM base leader when I was in Mbita and he had invited me to work alongside him in ministry.
The main highlight for us was when we visited a school called Got Kabok near to Homa Bay.
When we saw the children in this school we wept and all we could do was pray and ask God to change their situation.
The many orphans were at school each day with no breakfast, no lunch and maybe some maize porridge in the evening.
We prayed for them and saw God do a miracle.
We went back to the school with some bags of maize and armed with the gospel we were privilaged to preach the gospel to most of the families in the area where many accepted Jesus .
We also gave each family 2 tins of maize which was not much but it was a beginning.
Peaple at my home church did some fund raising and we were able to buy food so that now Ben is able to provide a meal each day for each of the children in the school.
This is a project that needs much prayer as this area is very much affected by the HIV/AIDS situation.
During the time I was in Kenya the elections were held and most of the world knows what happened after the elections....many thousands of lives were affected by the violence and bloodshed.
People were angry because the voting was said to be rigged and the country was in a panic situation.
I managed to get home in late January and have been home for 3 months now.
It has been good to spend time with my family and friends but now it is time to go back and continue to see lives changed by the love and power of God as I return to Africa on the 6th of May.
Born in the UK in 1944.
Immigrated to Australia in 1968
Mother to 4 and Nanna to 6
Missionary/Evangelist to Africa and Asia since 1997
Love God and want to walk in His will always.
Absence of God in our heart is the presence of failures in Life...God made a temple for himself to live on this earth and thats our heart...so our heart is the throne of Jesus..Peace, Love and Joy are the signs of Gods presence in our heart.Welcome Lord Jesus in your life as your saviour, ask him to forgive all your past ways and thoughts from life and he wil make you new creation..as the bible says those who are in jesus is a new creation , all the past things has gone away..when Jesus will come into your heart, you wil receive a hopefull life with peace ,prosperity ,joy and full of happiness and he will bless you all your steps and you wil be an example to others and blessings to others.Jesus loves you ...Life with jesus is Victorious ,it is a life towards overflowing Blessings ! God bless you..Have a great day -Your brother in christ Jesus ,Evangelist Anish Alpha.
The Heart: James 1:27 - To go out and show the pure and undefiled love of Christ… To love without words.
The Vision: Isaiah 61; Luke 4:18-19. To go out and help orphans and widows, to bring knowledge and light to dark places, to show love in more ways than just speech. Rebuilding homes, villages and lives while spreading the word of God and restoring hope to those who have lost all hope, because without hope a man is dead. The idea is to provide hope through planting churches, preaching the gospel, rebuilding villages, or by providing help to those in need. Reaching out to the poor of the poorest.
