I have many interests. I enjoy my art very much. I seem to be drawn to many things that have strong artistic qualities. Be it visual, musical or many other creative arts I have a broad range of interests. I love Asian culture, especially Japanese culture. Anime and Manga are great. I also like collecting resin statues and toys. Mostly gashapon and figures from Anime or video games. I used to sculpt all the time so collecting toys and statues really inspires me. I also have recently gotten into a type of Asian ball jointed doll called Super Dollfie made originally by volks. Now there are many other companies making them. Most are in Korea and Japan. I am also in the process of making my own from scratch. Pets are a huge part of my life. I love all kinds of animals. I have had many lizards and a snake in the past. Now I just have the leopard gecko for reptiles. Coral and fish are allot of fun. I have only recently gotten into them. Allot to learn about! That is one of the reasons I enjoy it so much. I love learning about new things. I have owned dogs my whole life. Next to people they are my favorite companions. I used to be very into Shotokan Karate and plan on getting back into it very soon. My relationship and career had made me put a hold on health and physical activity, but that is going to change very soon. Eating is also a real interest. I can't cook but I love eating new and strange things. Spicy Asian foods are my favorite. Sushi, Kimchee, Dim Sum, Yaki Tori, Curry and many others are just the tip of the iceberg of foods I love to eat. Seafood is quickly becoming my favorite choice of meats. Of course I play video games but not as much as I used to. I guess making them has made me move away from playing them like I used to. I don't have much time for that. I listen to lots of music and watch lots of movies. Computers and internet take up an enormous amount of time in my days. Being an artist I draw and do 3D modeling on my computer all the time. There are many other things I like to do but I don't want to write a book. Oh yeah, sex is something I really am interested in as well. With the right men... ^_^
Music
My music tastes vary quite a bit but my favorites are almost all European. I love Old Brit Pop like Suede, Blur, Longpigs, Radiohead and many many more. I also like bands like The Cardigans and Frente'. I was a huge fan of Grunge and of course love Nirvana, Pearl Jam, STP and many many more. Depeche mode, And One, Melotron, Project Pitchfork, Beborn Baton, Wolfshiem, Dreadful Shadows, Oomph! and many more European bands are great for darker electronic music. Nada Surf, At the Drive In, Strokes, White Stripes, Vines, Shudder to Think, SilverChair, Cranberries, Doors, David Bowie(old and new), Snapcase, Motley Crue, Skid Row, Morbid Angel, The Carpenters, Therion are just some random bands that I like. There are literally hundreds more. I don't like Hip Hop, R&B, Country, Blues, Old Jazz, Popular Radio stuff now, Punk. There are exceptions in each of these genres that I do like but for the most part I don't like them. Classical that is dark and moody is nice. I like great singers that can do strange and powerful things with there voices. From Death Metal to Operatic to whiny Brit Pop singers, I can appreciate them all.
Movies
The original Dune movie is still one of my favorite movies. I hate the new one and it is NOT more accurate to the book. The new series missed all the subtleties and added garbage to falsely lengthen the series. The follow up Messiah and Children of Dune sucked almost as much. To much like Star Wars(which I hate as well). Harry Potter movies keep getting better and better. Lord of the Rings series was great. Armin Mueller-Stahl movies are always nice to watch to see him(I think he is hot hot hot!). Joy Luck Club was great. Twilight Samurai was moving. American Beauty was amazing. Fight Club was great. Nausicaa is one of my favorite Anime movies. I'm trying to give snippets of what I like. There are way to many movies for me to remember and write. Children of Men is a must see.
Television
Law and Order, Law and Order SVU are great. Star Trek: Next Gen was good back in the day. BattleStar Galactica(new series) is the best Sci-Fi series I have ever seen period. Heroes is amazing!!! Comedy I like are Kids in the Hall, Family Guy, Chappell's Show, Bill Mar's Shows, Futurama, The Boondocks. Science Channel is a favorite as well as PBS. I love history shows on ancient cultures. Space and Dinosaur shows are great to. Animal shows and evolution shows always get me. Rome on HBO was really good. Queer as Folks first season was good even if its portrayal of gay lifestyle is anything but positive or real. I finally have LOGO! The GLBT TV station! I love it! I really don't watch much TV. I keep it on in the background when I am on the computer allot.
Books
All of Frank Herbert's Dune series is my favorite series of books with the last 2 (Heretics of Dune and Dune Chapterhouse) being my favorites. Frank Herbert is a genius that I don't think anyone else can match or top. He didn't just write stories. He made statements about all facets of life and reality without it being to preachy or sappy. Humanity lost an amazing person when he died. J. R. R. Tolkien did a good job on The Lord of the Rings series but it is to simple for me and I don't agree with its messages. Creatively it is amazing. My favorite of his books in the World of Middle Earth is the Silmarillion. I have read it at least 10 times. By far my favorite. The elves were very complex in the book and I love the mythology he created. Red Mars, Blue Mars and Green Mars are quite good. Harry Potter series is quite fun. Neuromancer is not normally something I would like from the way it is written but I did really enjoy it for the story and subject matter. Funny enough I really liked the TSR books from Dark Sun, The Prism Pentad series. Great world with interesting characters. I also liked the Dragon Lance Series first 3 books. I don't read that many books so I try to only read ones that I hear are good.
Heroes
The ones in my life I love most are my heroes. My family, friends and life partner(s). For the people that have shaped who I am and have the utmost respect and love for, words will never be able to express my gratitude for you all in my life. I only hope to live up to the level of love, respect and positive expectations we have set for each other. In our times of need we are as pillars of unmovable confidence and support that keep us afloat. I can do nothing less than this for you.

Mark is moving here to Huntington Beach in less than 2 weeks! I leave for vacation back home to Plattsburgh NY Tomorrow night and Mark joins me on the last leg of the trip from JFK to Burlington! I get to have my family meet him and see how wonderful he is. Then a week later we go to Florida and spend 3 days there. Finally we drive cross country with his truck and dog Sheba to HB!!!! W will take around 5 days to do it. I am so excited!!!

I haven't updated my about me section since I joined Myspace. Life since the passing of my late partner David has been difficult but I have been able to continue with my life. I still love him and think of him often but am finally ready to move on. What exactly that means is that I am not living in the past anymore but looking ahead once again. I am finally able to do personal art once more. This is something I have been unable to do since David's death.

A huge part of my soul died with David. That is the danger that lies with loving someone and sharing so much of your lives together. We became as one. And in his death a large hole or wound was created in me. I didn't think it would ever heal and in many ways it never will. But I have healed in other ways to become a better person for him. In his memory I have lost part of myself and gained a new strength. All the things he wanted me to be and do I am becoming and doing. I do this not only for him but because of him. Without him to show me these things, these hopes derived out of his love for me I would not be the person I am writing these words.

I want to thank Lloyd for being there for me in my time of need. He helped me grieve and honor David's memory. In the love that I shared with Lloyd I was able to heal and grow into who I am now. His support and companionship pulled me through the despair that engulfed and threatened to destroy me. Even though I have moved on now, Lloyd and I will always be wonderful friends.

I just turned 30 and another decade is over. Another chapter finished in the life of Kenzie Louis LaMar. I am not sure what the future holds for me at this point but I am hopeful and happy. Hi, I am new to MySpace and hope to meet allot of great people. I am now single after a 6 year long relationship. My partner David died this past Mid December of a sudden heart attack. The whole reason for me joining this site is to meet people and help me recover and get by alone after losing my first love. (2005)There are 2 main reasons for me to be here in MySpace beyond filling in the gap that the loss of my partner created. 1. I want to meet interesting people and hopefully foster friendships. This includes friends I already have and new people I haven't met yet. Because I am gay I also would like to make gay friends. It might sound strange but I have very few gay friends.
