Kat has been an influential force in dance music for over a decade. Starting out in the early 90s as a DJ in Minneapolis (known as Katwoman), she eventually moved to San Francisco and made the transition to her true passion of singing. Kat possesses a voice that is powerful and emotional; as one fan puts it, "sensually hypnotic." Her voice, and the combination of her energetic stage-presence, infectious laugh, and lively personality, has propelled her onto the forefront of the San Francisco dance-music scene.
Kat is an accomplished songwriter and has collaborated on numerous studio projects with a variety of producers from around the globe. She's also now a much-in-demand DJ, performing downtempo sets of her own at many of the Bay Area's hottest nightclubs and on San Francisco's Below Zero on Energy 92.7FM.

KEPI
Kepi is Minnesota-born, electronic music junky, Jeff Steinmetz. He knew from an early age that he had a passion for music and technology. After a long stint playing live keyboards and guitar and engineering at various Minneapolis studios, Kepi moved on to DJ-ing as yet another release of his creativity.
After a decade of DJ experience, he settled in San Francisco. Because of his musical background, Kepi's DJ sets reflect more than just the ability to keep the beat thumping they are musically and sonically exciting. This gift has earned him frequent slots at all of the major venues in San Francisco, as well as various clubs & festivals around the world. Notable locations include Ibiza, Spain; Love Parade in San Francisco; LAs cult favorite Moontribe; Music Festivals in Canada; and Nevadas now legendary Burning Man Festival.
Kepi continues to be an influential artist on the West coast performing with many notable producers and artists that span many music styles and geographies, including such acts as Infected Mushroom, Shpongle, Cosmosis, Shakta, Astral Projection, Crystal Method, Hybrid, D:Fuse, Hyper, Trendroid, Fine-Cut Bodies, Freq Nasty, Jeno and many more.
His residency on the monthly XM satellite radio show, titled "Thump Funk", has given him national exposure in the US. The show can be found on Channel 80 - The Move.
Kepi's long time involvement in studio engineering and sound production has led to the build-up of a pro grade project studio which is the breeding ground for his original style of dance music: a fusion of house, progressive, breaks and trance. It is not uncommon for Kepi to create one off custom tracks and dubs for his sets before a show. Look for releases by Kepi, Kat, Amani and Teapot under their production title Desert Dwellers.

A staple in the West Coast dance club and outdoor-festival scene for 5 years running, Kepi and Kat have headlined in the biggest clubs around the country in such places as San Francisco, Los Angeles, Miami, Seattle, and Portland and performed at numerous high-profile outdoor festivals such as the Love Parade in San Francisco, LA's cult-favorite Moontribe, and the now legendary Burning Man Festival. Now, their fans have spoken and voted the duo "Best Electronic Music Act" in the Bay Area for 2006!!
Kepi and Kat have performed internationally in the dance music capitol of Ibiza, Spain, as well as the Diversity Festival on the Sunshine Coast of Canada. They snagged highly coveted spots at the Winter Music Conference in Miami for two years consecutively, playing showcases for Thump Radio and XM Satellite Radio, among others.
In 2005, Kepi and Kat released their debut EP "Limelight" which immediately charted on the Balance Record Pool and features remixes from some of San Francisco's biggest DJ names. And, in perhaps their biggest coup yet, their track Limelight was featured in the Xbox 360 videogame "Perfect Dark Zero", in addition to landing on the limited-edition DVD and CD-soundtrack for the award-winning game. Kepi & Kat have also signed a digital distribution and licensing deal with the electronic-music label INgrooves, positioning them for national and global exposure.
