Rene Diedrich	May 28 2009 5:50 AM I have an anthology of woman gone wrong works (poetry, short fiction, irreverent criticism, essays and art) called Blistering B-Girl Confessions coming together. The project will recognize female art soldiers on the edge, but includes an academic framework to hold it all together, get us taken seriously. Think Lydia Lunch, Lynda Berry, Dot Parker and hipsters who dance all over the edge of good taste. Strippers, strawberry girls, dope fiends, runaways, felons, taggers,sex trade swingers, foul mouthed outsiders,shoplifters; any chick who has something to say and wants to share experiences beyond New Bride magazines and soccer practice should submit work to us. This book's lurid tone will attract an audience, but the quality of work and recognition of its social and psychological importance will make it viable, even in college coursework, as a neo-femininist celebration of women who are wanton, willful and well-informed. Remember how Stand Up Poetry put the new breed of poets on the map a decade ago? We can do that with these naked efforts by women like you, who tell the truth with no apologies. "Inappropriate" is a word that could come up, but that's exactly why we want to unite for this project and launch careers men like Bukowski, Burroughs,Welsh and Stahl enjoy. Please send female art soldiers and (wanna be females who write or create art) to me, and, if you are interested, you can take a look at what we have so far. We have editors/writers working on gathering and choosing works now and plan to have a manuscript by Fall. Still, we need samples to show for editors interested in the project so send a piece (previously published work is okay and excerpts from your novel are a great way to market it) , bio, photo, etc. to RADaxis7@aol.com as attachments.
