Il gruppo nasce nel 2006 come alter ego di un altro gruppo, i Lizard (www.myspace.com/lizardtr). Dopo essersi confrontati con numerose bands italiane in numerosi concorsi e dopo aver preso tante tante "botte", decide di cambiare radicalmente il suono, il precedente era infatti troppo legato a sonorità 80's. I Kerosene sono un mix di metal, progressive, hard rock e tutto ciò che suona bene. Le canzoni sono pugno allo stomaco, potenti e dinamiche allo stesso tempo, confezionate con ritornelli melodici e riff pesanti.
Viene registrato un primo demo in casa, che ottiene diversi consensi nella zona. I Kerosene hanno la possibilità di collezionare numerose date live in Umbria e non solo.
Nell’estate 2007 c’è un cambio di line-up, entra nella band Elvys Damiano, già chitarrista in alcune realtà metal italiane di rilievo come Subliminal Crusher (www.myspace.com/subcrush) ed S.R.L. (www.myspace.com/srlmetalband), con il quale viene registrato il primo album ufficiale nel suo studio personale, i LightLess Studios di Terni. L’album contiene 7 brani inediti, una versione acustica di “Hand Open Wide” ed un brano Live.
Nel frattempo, durante le sessioni di registrazione, i Kerosene continuano sia sul fronte live, collezionando numerose date nella zona, la maggior parte da headliner su palchi di rilievo, sia nella scrittura, creando altri nuovi brani già proposti in sede live; entra a far parte della band Marco al basso, ed esce la prima compilation “Heavy Rendez Vous Vol. III” che contiene il brano “Frustrations”.
Il disco dal titolo omonimo è in uscita per il 9 Febbraio su New LM Records, distribuzione Masterpiece. Per la promozione il gruppo si sta affidando ad alcune importanti agenzie di promozione e booking, e nel frattempo sta organizzando un minitour insieme ad un’altra band conosciuta del genere, come promozione per entrambi gli album.

The band took part in many rock contests, but didn’t get as many good results as it was hoped at that time, so the guys decided to move towards a heavier sound, creating a mix of hard rock, metal and progressive and everything that sounds damn good!
Kerosene songs are powerful and dynamic at the same time, “packed” with heavy riffs and melodic refrains.
During summer 2007, Elvys Damiano joined the band as the new lead and rhythm guitar, yet a member of 2 italian well known heavy metal bands, Subliminal Crusher (www.myspace.com/subcrush) and S.R.L. (www.myspace.com/srlmetalband); with this line up Elvys and the rest of the band recorded their first official release at the Lightless Studios (Elvys’ recording studio).
The album contains 7 tracks, an acoustic version of “Hand Open Wide” and a Live track.
At the moment, the band is having a lot of gigs around Terni, very often as headliner, and writing more powerful stuff!
In the meantime, Kerosene continue to write and record their new powerful stuff and have a lot of gigs around the town, often as headliner; last December Marco joined the band as the new bass player, and became available the compilation “Heavy Rendez Vous Vol. III”, with the Kerosene’s song “Frustrations”.
The album (titled as the band name) has been released last February the 9th under New LM Records, Masterpiece distribution. To promote the CD, the band is in contact with some promoting/booking agencies, but it’s also in the process of organizing a short tour together with another well-known hard rock/metal band.

confermare l'headliner dell'edizione 2009 del Rockarena. Come avrete
ben capito si tratta del ex cantante degli Iron Maiden BLAZE BAYLEY.
Ricordiamo inoltre che la manifestazione si terrà sabato 25 luglio
presso il campo sportivo di Mercatale di Cortona (AR) ed è ad INGRESSO
GRATUITO e che vedrà la partecipazione anche dei Secret Sphere e dei
Pollution. A breve per nuove conferme.
