I believe that as long as it's the truth...ANYTHING is fair game for the stage. If you like balloon animals, music cues, rope tricks, and information on the difference between dogs and cats, you’re going to HATE me. I’m sure that somewhere a dossier exists with the words "Thought Criminal" stamped across my name.

About me:

..

I am flawed beyond repair. My sense of right and wrong is easily skewed according to my immediate situation or circumstances. I accept full responsibility for the results of my behavior. I'm terminally irresponsible in all other aspects of my vagabond existence, though. Perhaps it's because of my own inner demons that I find the reason(s) behind WHY people do and say the things they say and do, FAR more interesting than what they actually said and did. I possess A self destructive need to question (and/or defy) authority. It has been a curse, a blessing, and honestly...A hell of A lot of fun. I like red meat, underdogs of society who somehow manage to get one good shot in, coffee, and long periods of uninterrupted contemplative silence. I also enjoy the company of those who will take the time to think before they speak and, after doing so, are comfortable saying nothing at all. People who anxiously fill any conversational void with verbal lattice seem (to me) to be ill at ease with silence in a social setting. I've never understood that. Are their "antennae" poor? Whatever the reason...they make me uncomfortable. Here are a few things I "feel" (in no particular order): An uncontrollable smile that came from the depths of the bearer's being is the best gift I can receive. My favorite sensation is the butterfly-like feeling I get in my stomach when I hear the laughter of my children. Pussy is good. Love is dangerous. Life is to be lived, not survived. It's cheaper to be pulled by your dreams than pushed by your problems. Then again, what do I know?

Who I'd like to meet:

People who get this: We're here for a brief time. This may be ALL there is. Though it may seem high, the price of being true to yourself is nothing when weighed against the toll exacted if you're not. Reject the selfish, templating attempts of those too fearful themselves to wander outside the box and away from the herd. Live THIS life! Don't waste it in lieu of the "next" one, or, for the sake of others' sound sleep.

Interests

  • General

The pursuit of ataraxis. Tasting of "the fruit". Silent screams and non-verbal communication in general. Speaking my mind. Making pretentious, hypocritical people squirm. Good tequila. Suicide runs with people I find funny and/or interesting. Keeping my wireless services turned on. Hecklers with limited vocabularies, double digit IQ's, and the women/men who sleep with them. Not being engaged in conversation while taking a piss in a public restroom. Making my way back to the hotel when I'm under the influence. Getting home after I've been out on the road too long. Getting out on the road after I've been home too long.

  • Music

Music, like ALL artforms, is subjective. If it stirs or moves you, then kudos to the artist(s) responsible for it's creation. What I'm listening to depends upon what I'm doing and how I'm feeling about it. One of my favorite lyrics is from the song "Sober" by TOOL: "I will find the center in you, I will chew it up and leave." Now, THAT line spoke to me.

Anything that makes me think, rethink, and question. If we never gain new perspective on motives, theories, and the standard "accepted" version of ANYTHING...how do we evolve? Safe, strategic fundamentalism has been rammed down our throats. Look where it's gotten us. I'm open to reading-material suggestions but please...DON'T say the Bible. Even though I feel organized religion is a dish that's been marinated in fear and served smothered with hypocrisy...I've read it. There WAS lots of fucking and killing to keep the plot moving forward but, overall, I felt the author(s)' basic thrust was to try and manipulate people into becoming blind-faith having, tithing, fearful, controlled, conformist drones. Emphasis on tithing. I'm using it as a coaster now. If that seems wrong to you, BAAAAA-BAAAAAA...I apologize. Please...go back to sleep. Currently, I'm taking my time absorbing "A People's History of the United States" by Howard Zinn, and "Kurt Cobain" by Christopher Sandford.
