I love all kinds of music. I started in Country, but find myself writing rock lately. I think as artists we should be able to be creative and not be pigeon holed into one particular type of music.
I write and perform what God gives me. I hope you enjoy it.

Kessie Marie was born the third child of a family of four in Gulfport, Mississippi. Singing and performing seemed to come as second nature for her. She hit the stage at the tender age of 5 years old. Traveling all over the south performing at churches and tent revivals with her family paved the way and prepared her to become a unique and professional recording artist. She pursued a country career with her sister as the Marie Sisters and soon landed a deal with Universal/Republic records. they worked with hit producers such as Richard Marx, Guy Roche(Christina Aguilera,Celine Dion) Shep and Kenney(LFO, Mandy Moore) and Max T. Barnes. In the spring of 2002 they released their self-titled debut CD The Marie Sisters. They toured with Kenny Rogers, Wynonna, Lonestar, JoDee Messina, and Joe Nichols to name a few. They even recorded at Michael McDonalds personal studio in Franklin, Tennessee. As a solo opportunity, Kessie has worked with such artists as Donna Summer, BJ Thomas, Tommy Simms, Grand Funk Railroad, Mark Farner, Michael McDonald, Rodney Atkins, LeAnn Rimes, Jodee Messina, Kenny Rogers, Lonestar, Joe Nichols, Wynonna and more. As time went by, the girls found themselves realizing what the music industry entailed. After much careful thought and consideration for themselves and one another, the girls decided to pursue solo projects.
Kessie spent time song searching and soul searching. She found herself and learned to stand up on her own. Strangely enough, she recorded a song expressing the same emotion. With an exciting new career in her hands, she went into the studio with guitarist and former band member Josh Henson, this time being the centerpiece of the music. Henson produced three new tracks on Kessie written by Rebecca Lynn Howard and Tony Marty. Her voice mixes a country/blues and rock and roll "no holds barred" production.
A bright new future is in store for Kessie. She has much talent and beauty to offer the music industry and a voice that has not yet been heard. You will find the end result is an exciting mixture.
