THE GATES - HBO Screening
Thursday, February 7, 2008
7-10pm
FREE
Reception at 7pm
Screening at 8pm

In 1979, artists Christo and Jeanne-Claude proposed one of the largest public works of art in history: a “golden river” of 7,503 fabric-paneled gates in Central Park. Transcending controversy, it was finally completed in 2005.

THE GATES, directed by Antonio Ferrera, Albert Maysles, David Maysles and Matthew Prinzing, chronicles the artists’ 26-year commitment to transform the winter darkness of the park into a garden of light and color, bringing art to the people of New York City.

Reservations are required. Call 1-866-717-6072 to reserve your seats.

Kestwest,
A close friend of mine has finally launched his new drum manufacturing company. Nearly unbreakable shells made of Corian for the active gigging drumer (made in MN!) Maybe something for your rotating guest list of drummers to check out.

Whats up John? Show was amazing and I'm sorry we had to leave kind of early. We were uncertain about the parking and I think we only paid for 2 hours. You'll have to get me the scoop on parking because I think I am going to attend again. Sweet vibes!!

This Friday, September 7, Keston and Westdal with Joshua Herbst on drums are playing at Nublu in NYC. This is the first time that the trio has been reunited since their 2004 tour and performance at the Montreal Jazz Festival. In anticipation of the event they have been busy preparing arrangements of material from the upcoming album, "One Day to Save All Life" along with their favorites from "Truth is Stranger" (Unearthed Music, March 2007).
