| General | As I have said, I LOVE music. I also love rodeos, bowling, gardening, and many others. Cooking is one thing that I learned at a young age and LOVE to do. Sadly, it is, and many can see, a downfall over the years! Below are some pics of me at the Kansas City and Denver Rodeos, as well as some other shots of me. Enjoy!

.. Ok, so that's me in a nutshell. Ask me something and I'll be happy to tell you!
Well, there ya have it folks, me in a nutshell! | | Music | From my people I'd like to meet, I am a HUGE country music fan but my musical interest are ecclectic. The music can stir emotions and make statements. I also like some pop and classical music with some new age just to stir things up a bit. I can definately say, I LIVE for the holidays. I wish sometimes that there was more time to sing the Christmas music. The songs are pure, but the music I love mainly is country. When I sing, I tend to sing ballads. I absolutely LOVE the emotions and power some have. It really means a lot when I'm performing I come to the climax of the song and people begin cheering and applauding. Don't get me wrong, I love some of the faster paced songs, but ballads will ALWAYS be my favorite. One of these particular songs is "It's Your Song" by Garth Brooks. For me, if I can make it through the song without shedding a tear, then it isn't done right. This particular song reminds me so much of my grandmother. She always encouraged me to sing, so now that I do, I silently dedicate this song to her each time I sing it. I just wish she were still alive to hear it.
| | Movies | The last movie I saw in the theaters was "Brokeback Mountain". My main focus of my education was Radio/TV/Film and I have MANY favorites. | | Television | Ok, so do you want a line-up or what? My favorite shows are: Charmed, Project Runway, I Want That, M*A*S*H, Deal or No Deal, Star Trek TNG, Golden Girls, Mama's Family, and Heroes. | | Books | I loved Reba McEntire's books. I also remember reading a book compiled by Mike Oatman from KFDI in Wichita, Kansas. Each morning, he would read a passage and decided to make a book of these. I remember still the passage he read, the day Dan Dillon's son was killed. It started off, "I lend you this child of mine." LOVE THAT Poem. I also love the poem "I am Free". Each time I learn of a death in the family, I revisit that particular poem. | | Heroes | My heroes are the little guys that help out charities. Most of the time people have all these major stars that show up to help raise money for charities. That is fine, but they also get the credit. For me, the credit deserves to be given to the person that volunteered a booth, donated time, or even just donated $0.50 because that's all they had. These are the people that deserve the credit; not the stars of the show, and CERTAINLY NOT the host/hostess that just stand there and introduce the acts. I learned years ago that the volunteers, and the little people are the ones that deserve the credit when I helped with the Children's Miracle Network Telethon. I had an opportunity to visit with one of the hosts who told me that. I also learned that it's not the person out in front on stage that are the heroes. Instead, it's the ones behind the scenes making the one out front look good. Too often hosts are too wrapped up in "look at me," and "look what I can do" to even worry about those that are behind the scenes. Let alone those that helped them get where they are. Yes, drag queens are the worst about this, but at the same time, they ARE human (I think). Some of them ALSO need to take a moment and evaluate themselves. Perhaps even step aside and say, "You know, perhaps I should let someone else take the lead." |

About me:
Wow, there's so much to tell about me. First of all, I live in the Kansas City Metro area. I do like it here, and love the friends I have met. In the last several years, I became involved with a GREAT organization, the Missouri Gay Rodeo Association or MGRA. I also competed for Mr. MGRA for both 2006 & 2007, 2008 and was proud to be Mr. MGRA First Runner Up in all of those years. Most recently, I competed and won the title of Mr. MGRA 2009. I am an entertainer and sing live at many venues around the Kansas City area as well as St. Joseph, MO; St. Louis, MO; Denver, CO; and wherever my travels take me. I love music and singing and do it often. I will be posting a list of venues on here soon and keeping it updated.
I am ALSO walking in the AIDS Walk 2007 on April 28th 2007 as part of the MGRA Royalty Team, and I am needing sponsors. To sponsor me, go to WWW.FIRSTGIVING.COM/KEVINLYNN and click on the sponsor me button. I really appreciate it!

Who I'd like to meet:
I would love to meet a number of people. Toby Keith, Trace Adkins, Josh Groban, Cher, Madonna, Dolly Parton, Princess Dianna, Elton John, Johnny Cash, Buck Owens, and Patsy Cline. This is just a starter list. I would love to meet any of these and more people. Incidentally, I would also like to do a duet with many of them.
