Here's my video diary — it has some swearing in it.
I am being an artist and writer but mostly I am a postman. I self-publish books and zines, do exhibitions and online things but mostly I deliver the mail. Recently my book "Lost in the Post" (a collaboration with photographers Shaw & Shaw) was published by a proper publisher to moderate acclaim (“baffling and charming” — The Independent).
Here is a link to my website.
PS I'm also a co-director of Temporary Art Space at The Piece Hall, Halifax.
"Britain at its most odd and its most ordinary" The Huddersfield Examiner
"A revealing miniature glimpse of ‘ordinary’ life" The Guardian
"Wonderfully observational" The Big Issue
"Lost in the Post will be a cult classic" The Independent
"Utter Rubbish" D.Allam via Amazon.co.uk
Here's a video of Splitty McCheeks performing at the preview of The Everyday Film and Photography Show at Temporary Art Space. More at www.myspace.com/splittymccheeks
Temporary Art Space is an unfunded, artist-run project with a lifespan of six months, situated in the magnificent Grade 1 listed Piece Hall in Halifax and co-directed by Alice Bradshaw, Bob Milner, Tom Senior, Kevin Boniface & Georgia Boniface.
And here's a too small poster for our current show... I don't know...? Maybe if you click on it?
The other picture is of the new Compact News. If anybody wants a copy let me know. It's Free (send us an SAE)
Haha. Yorkshire Safari and Postman's diaries made me laugh rather loud for an almost continuous period of the duration which I stopped, looked and listened. I was left wanting more. Like a small serving of really nice cheesecake. p.s. I still have "Bob" the sheep. MLB.
