Hello to all the adventurous rockers in the land,
Kevin Bowers has completed the recording and mixing of his second album. It is entitled "Nine Story Building." The title represents being somewhat of a chameleon, going through different personalities and stages in life. And yes, there happens to be nine songs on the album. Song titles include: Waiting For A Table (At Butcher's Cafe); Desperation; Slow Down Joanna; Destiny Falls Over; Possibility; Have Mercy; Dirty Business; It's Only A Test; and To Dance. The record was recorded and mixed in St. Louis at Firebrand Studios on an 8-Track tape machine by Brian Scheffer and Nelson Jones. The amazing musicians that helped turn these songs into gold can be viewed on this page. “On the first album, I wrote the music before the lyrics,” says Kevin. “With this album, I wrote everything by singing off the cuff into a tape recorder while improvising the music. Although they were eventually organized, the songs ended up having a more honest vibe to them. The idea of using wind instruments combined with acoustic bass, congas, and lots of percussion was influenced by the records I was digesting at the time.” The New Album, "Nine Story Building," is NOW AVAILABLE On-Line.
