YA'LL BE ON THE LOOK-OUT FOR THE KING OF MELODY...KADJE 5!
Well. I see myself basically as a songwriter who happens to sing and play a bit of keyboard. I am a member of the legendary virtual rock band Dark Victory. We will be releasing our first full CD of new music sometime this year. The working title is MESH.
I grew up in a small steel city called Aliquippa which is nestled deep in the Western Pennsylvanian Outback a mere 20 miles or less from the Big City (Pittsburgh). We refer to it there as "Uptahn" in Pittsburgesh (Uptown).
I grew up listening to the sounds of Motown and was there at the start of the British Invasion in the mid sixties. I love all of that good music from back then. But it was the early seventies that changed it all for me. I started listening to album oriented rock radio (AOR) and discovered progressive rock. The likes of Yes, Pink Floyd, early Genesis, ELP, King Crimson came wafting over the airwaves to me and I was in complete THRALL!
I consider myself to be a prog artist and when I say that's what I am I tend to do so quietly because I have so much respect for those giants.
A few years ago my brother, keyboard guru and genius bandmate Scott Barton arranged for me to use some recording equipment here in St Louis. it took me awhile to get my feet under me but I must say that at this point I am not nearly as bad as I used to be.
I record onto my computer with nothing more than a pre amp, a keyboard and microphone. I have a recording software that appears to be holding up quite well.
My singing voice is a deep version of Peter Gabriel crossed with Seal; dipped in 60s Motown and sprinkled with retro rock n roll.

Hi Kevin Michael Dallas, I got so caught up I forgot to say.. Great Music!! I like the real feel you music gives. There is no fake overproduced Major label feeling in it. I fancy 'mountain highway' and 'Goodbye Madness'. I am fond of the vocals mixed in with the guitar and the pan effects as well. Cheers, Barris Jahn of 'Champagne Talking'.
Hi Kevin Michael Dallas, Thank you for the email. I go through and take a listen to different tracks of music and I never know what I will find. We live in amazing times where we can do things like this. I feel so fortunate that people listen to my songs. It is also amazing that I can meet Great people on Myspace in the process. I feel that you are probably a Great person. I really appreciate your message and I feel the same way. Cheers, Barris Jahn of 'Champagne Talking'.
That is possibly one of the sweetest things anyone has ever said to me. Thank you Kevin. I send hugs and kisses to you and your family.
(I even mentioned this morning in my report to the President that my friend Kevin Dallas made some really nice comments on my page. And now there's another! Cool. Yes, Barack. Sure I told him, why wouldn't I?)
I always loved your quip about "man you could write a song out of the friggin phone book!"
I was telling my friend Paul McCartney about that; I told him, "and I could too! But it would be a very long song".
Chris E was unsatisfied with how the character was going. There is a rumor that adam will play he has feelings for Estella's son! Please join the restlessfans website to discuss the show with other Y&R fans. You can click on the banner in the about me section or from our bulletin! Hope to see you there.
Hey Kevin, let's definitely talk about that management thing! I will be slowing down tomorrow afternoon so reach out and let's see what we can make happen! Until then stay focused and blessed!
Have a "HAPPY FATHER'S" day........... Father ? What does that one simple word mean? By it's self, not much, just another word. But when you add a child to the mix one gets a whole new twist on the word FATHER. A father is one who has nourished a seed with love, wisdom and warmth. He has been a provider, guidance counselor and friend. Many times he has had to be harsh, stubborn and aggressive- but those times it was more likely to have been out of love and concern, the desire to protect his, from all harm. Are you a Father? We know, it takes a man, a real "MAN" to be a father- the job is not for everyone, we have seen seeds that were improperly handled and the seed was unable to grow to it's full potential. I believe "YOU" are that MAN if you can say- "I gave it my all, with the power's that were vested in me". To plant a seed does not necessarily mean to impregnate, to be a Father one has but to give ones all to a child, to assist that child in some meaningful way in becoming the best he/she can be. Remember....live every day to the fullest. Each minute is a blessing from God. And never forget....children make a difference in our lives, they are our future. If you see a child without a smile today give them one of yours! Live simply. Love seriously. Care deeply. Speak kindly.
Hey Kevin, I hope you've enjoyed your day and that your weekend will be even greater. I've been in the mist of the "STORM'S of LIFE", as we all may experienced at one time or another, but now the winds have cleared and the sun is shining on a new day. Those things that seem greater than "US", really aren't, we just have to put them in their place and keep on walking, because if we stop and allow ourselves to be defeated- indeed we have lost the battle, before it has begun. I am soooo, thankful to have you on the other end of this box, just thinking about "YOU" brings a smile to my face. Thank "YOU" for being there and being a friend, as always, mucho love and respect.
many people knowing and loving this great artist say that there is a common point between Peter most known original movie soundtracks (Passion, Long Walk Home fo example) and Asura soundscapes and anthems (especially Golgotha or The Prophecy) . If you don't already know Asura, I suggest you to come, have a sit, and... listen!
Love and Light and above all thank you for your time. I am a composer before all, but a fan of Peter too, and I just would like to have your point of view.
