Giraffe was Kevin Gilbert's 2nd band following his experience with the group "NRG" (No Reason Given). The group released two independent records. 1987's "The Power Of Suggestion" and 1988's "A View From Here." In 1999 Kevin Gilbert's estate released a remastered compilation simply titled "Giraffe" that included 90% of both of those records, along with a bonus and live cut.

I was lucky enough to be booking a nightclub in the late eighties in Mt. View, ca. and had Giraffe play there a couple of times.... Kevins talent was huge and obvious... If there is any other music from his archives you can post I'm sure there are many fans who would be grateful...
The best music from the bay area ever. I have both albums (cd's now) required library reference and listening pleasure music. I had the pleasure of spending and evening at TRS with Scott Smith back when he played me this music I had never heard and became immediatly infactuated with. It struck a nerve deep inside and has stayed with me to this day, thanks brother. You and the most musicle drummer I have had the pleasure to work with...
