Music was constantly played in my home and on the street from all corners of the world, he explains, I would hear Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy, Pink Floyd, Van Halen, Alice In Chains, Roger Waters, Jeff Buckley, James Brown, and Madonna (with whom I would later audition ) and various other pop artists. On the streets, it would be blasting out Salsa from apartment windows of the mainly Puerto Rican and Dominican neighborhood, I loved it. There is always something new to listen to and learn from to keep you developing in life. We would play touch football in the street one eye on the opponent and the other on the passing cars or handball against building walls, all the time being immersed in music. During his high school and college university years his interest in ice hockey began. I was able to play hockey through out America and Canada it was cool because of the speed, grace and strength in which you can play with, much like music. However his true desire was to play music which he pursued with a passion meeting and playing with well known American and Brasilian musicians. Hanging out in the musician bars and late night clubs til 3 and 4am in the morning. Taking the next steps working in the studios recording he composed and produced the background music and incidental music to the Hit MTV cartoon Beavis and Butthead using the collections of musical sounds from his past.
Live on stage he is an Ax-wielding maniac running and jumping about the stage dashing headlong through the clubs packed with audiences he fires up with rocked out pandemonium. In the studio he is the consummate session player, playing guitar, mandolin, effects and adding production ideas. He has recorded for Janet Jackson, Puff Daddy, Cindy Blackman and Everett Bradley The studio lets you have a real intellectual approach, You can workout what you want to happen and then make so. For me playing live, I look at it as show business or monkey business its where the magic happens. I want the audience to be affected by what they see and hear. I think my stage presence is fun and crazy, its my nature, I have a sense of humor I want to get the people involved in what ever way I can. I like to play stuff that feels good and is fun, not taking things too seriously when the aim is for them ( the audience ) to be jumping around screaming and yelling clapping their hands, thats when you know its working.
