After years as a bass player for indie and major label artists both in the studio and on the road, Kevin Jacoby has changed gears. Now with guitar in hand, Kevin sets out in the tradition of story tellers like James Taylor and Paul Simon, with a sound a little closer Jeff Buckley and Dave Matthews.
Trained at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Kevin studied jazz with some of the world's finest before making the move to New York City to carve out a living as
a musician.
In 2001 Kevin stopped freelancing, joined a rock band, signed to Atlantic Records and spent the next few years touring and recording.
It was that project that first opened his eyes to writing and singing.
"Writing is a million different shades of expression I had never even considered. All of a sudden, here's this opportunity to make a statment that's both set in stone and yet completely fluid everytime you play it."
Kevin's latest project is a soon to be released collection of live and studio performances called Truth.
