INFORMAL BIO:
I am a composer, not a band, but I wanted to put some of my music out there.
I received my Doctorate in Music Composition from the University of Pennsylvania in 2005. I recently moved to Los Angeles, where I am Assistant Professor of Music at L.A. City College.
I am looking for commissions, performers for my music, and of course anyone just interested in listening to new music.
FORMAL BIO:
Kevin J. Kelly was born July 6, 1978 in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. He completed his bachelor's degree in composition at West Chester University, where his principal teachers were Robert Maggio and Larry Nelson. He was awarded a Ph.D. in composition from the University of Pennsylvania, where he studied with Jay Reise, James Primosch, Anna Weesner, and Ingrid Arauco. He has also studied with Samuel Adler, Philip Lasser, Narcis Bonet and Michel Merlet while participating in the summer composition program at La Schola Cantorum in Paris, France.
Among Dr. Kelly's awards and scholarships are: a prize in the National Guild of Community Schools for the Arts' Young Composers Competition; recognition as a regional winner in the 1999 SCI/ASCAP Student Composition Competition; the William Penn Fellowship from the University of Pennsylvania; and the Theodore Presser Scholarship from West Chester University.

Man where was this stuff monday night, your music is great, i study classical voice at rowan, and i used to sing in there chamber choir when it existed, I really appreciate these compositions, my brother is a grad student in choral conducting loves it too, it was great to meet the other night, I planon coming out to cali soon. If your still around philly let me know i would like to see you guys play again.
