OK,we all know the stuff that turns up in the biographies because its all been said before. So let's talk about Kevin Jordan & The Shuffle Kings... well as Kevin would tell you it didnt happen for a long time till the shuffle kings came together, it took a lot of hard work finding fab talented Musicians that can play some "Good Time Blues".
Formed in 2007/08, Kevin Jordan & The Shuffle Kings set out to reproduce that authentic chicago blues /soul style with that west coast texas swing. The band is lead by Harmonica Man Kevin Jordan. Kevin needs no introduction to the blues seen as he's had same fabulous times jamming with some blues bands like of Baby Isaac,Linda Jackson band,Rev Doc & the Congregation and loads of other names todate. On lead Vocals Alex Bertie T.B.C. On lead guitarist Robben Falvey, robben is a top class blues guitarist. On the look out for rythem Guitarist mark white takes his place with the band. Mark has standed in with other band like of Lazy Poker,Scumbag Boggie Band,and Mr.Big Stuff as well as others to name too. Drummer Paul "Junior"Michie takes his place with the shuffle kings, he has brought all that swing and shuffle to the band.it looks like Kevin Jordan took the time and got it right, the end result? This Sunday.... THE FIVE ACES ROCKIN’ DANCE PARTY. A night of rockin’ soul, rock n’ roll and rhythm & blues featuring live music from The Five Aces, The Bottleneckers and The Privates Hammond Orchestra. Mikey Collins will be DJing which makes this an unofficial pre club to the last night of the glasgow mod weekender. Tickets £5. The Venue @ Oran Mor, Byres Rd. Doors at 7pm, 1st band onstage at 7.45pm sharp Last band offstage by 10pm latest.
