   About Kevin Lee
As a singer songwriter, Kevin Lee is a perfect example of an artist that lives and breathes his music the same way that he lives his life. His open-minded nice guy attitude that "isn't afraid to tell it like it is" is something that he holds true to both on and off the stage. Kevin's energy and desire to pursue and fullfill his music career is a refreshing dose of honesty in a tough and competitive industry. "I'm just an average, everyday human being; i love to spend time with my friends and family, drink a few beers... the only thing that makes me different is that i love to sing." When asked how Kevin would explain his style, he naturally answered it honest - "My stuff is traditional lyrics with a mix of the new country sound," he added "they are songs about living, doing stuff you ain't supposed to and learning the hard way about it." That is exactly how Kevin gets in touch with his audience, if it's a song about relationships, about living or anything in between, people will always be able to relate. Originally from Henderson, NC, Kevin had some friends that played in a band when he was younger and with their help he learned how to play the guitar and at just 12 years old, he fell in love with it. A few years later at the age of 18 while singing with some friends, one of them pointed out that his voice was perfect for the sounds of country music and with influences like Waylon Jennings and Merle Haggard to Ricky Van Shelton and Clint Black, some of the industries greats, it isn't hard to see where Kevin gets his classic yet unique sound from. Kevin had some other strong influences in his life as well, his parents. His mother, an officer manager, has always been supportive, but that's not to discount her fears. By the time she had wrapped her mind around her son's dangerous career as a firefighter, Kevin dropped the bomb on her that he was quitting that life to follow his dream of becoming a country singer. After the initial motherly concern for her son who would be living a life of uncertanties, Kevin says she quickly embraced his decision and believes in him and supports him 100%. He tells us that if there is one lesson that his mom has always taught him, it is "that you are never too old or too much of a man to admit when you are wrong and it's ok to break down and cry. Don't live your life being concerned with why something didn't work out, it all happens for a reason, take what life gives you and make the best of it." Kevin's dad has also been a huge inspiration to him as well, mostly for having determination in his own life. After serving two tours of duty in Vietnam for the U.S. Army, he came home to the states to become a police officer and was met with resistance because of his height. He quickly defended his right to work as an officer stating that if he was man enough to serve our country on foreign soil he was man enough to fight for it at home and after such a strong argument, Kevin's father proved to be a very successful officer. Kevin says his dad taught him, "Despite what some might say or think, you can be or do anything you want to in this life. Be persistent but not a nuisance, and never let anyone tell you that you are not good enough." With the support of both his parents and his two brothers and sister, Kevin believes he couldn't be a luckier person. His family is honest with him about his music; they love his talent and all completely support him. With a family that all lives in North Carolina, Kevin says "the hardest part is being away from home, and missing all those moments" but he knows that between his faith in god and the love and support of his family, he is right where he needs to be. With truly growing over the past few years as an artist where he started in Henderson, NC several years ago, Kevin has been steadily paying his dues and in return, it has been paying off for him. He finally has his regular gigs at local Nashville honky-tonks such as Crossroads, the Secon Fiddle, Legends and The Stage on Broadway and his band also packs it up every weekend to play in bars and clubs around the country from places such as The Winner's Circle Saloon in Pennsylvania to straight on down south to Coyotes in Augusta, GA hitting several bars along the way throughout the Virginia's and Carolina's. He continually pushes himself to meet the Super Star standards that he is setting for himself. Selling merchandise at every show, taking time to get to know his new fans and being sure to recognize his already strong fan base, he is aware that they are the reason he is succeeding and moving forward in the industry. Although things weren't always so easy for Kevin, starting out on a much smaller scale, working as a firefighter and singing in local karaoke bars, where the country scene was limited, then traveling every weekend to be a DJ at the Longbranch and City Limits Saloon in Raleigh, NC. Kevin soon realized it was time to make the move to Nashville. He quit his job as a firefighter and DJ, cashed in his 401K and hit the road. When he arrived in Music City, he leaned quickly the trials and tribulations of this tough city, but he kept pushing forward, always believing that "nothing is impossible if you want it bad enough," just one more lesson learned from his dad. He soon started to learn new techniques to include in his songwriting style and working constantly on his vocals and performances. That, along with great networking, sitting in with the local bands and lots of determination, gave him the connections that he now has that have allowed him to start making a promising name for himself. With strong blue collar roots and a drive and determination that cannot be surpassed, it's easy to fall in love with Kevin's music and even easier to get swept away by his unique and inviting sound. His ultimate goal is to obtain a record deal and entertain all over the world. Kevin says that, "every kid wants to be something or someone, well this is my something and i will not settle for less than being someone! It's fun, i love it, the rush is unexplainable, something you can't understand unless you have done it. And ever day that passes, i only want it more." Rest assured that this is just the beginning for Kevin Lee and with the support of his fans, this artist is directly on his way to the top! DISCLAIMER: While Kevin visits the site when he can, he is simply too busy to run it himself. He says he appreciates all of the support that you guys give him, and he will try to read and answer some of the wonderful messages everyone has sent once his schedule isn't quite so hectic. I just don't want anyone to think that your messages are just being ignored, so feel free to continue to write, post comments, tell all your friends about his music, etc! Soon, I will make available some banners for posting on your own pages, and am even working on a customized Kevin Lee layout to use for your own myspace page. More will be happening on here soon, I promise! Thanks for being so patient and wonderful! You guys rock.

Today I would like to let you know about two print magazines in Germany I'm writing for.

"Living Line Dance", reporting about line dance and country music, and "Folk Magazine", reporting about folk and country music. The magazines are high respected in Europe. They offer you a good chance to publicize yourself in Europe and Germany.

For more information, please contact me at MySpace or send email to Ch.Lamitschka@t-online.de with the headline "Advertise at Living Line Dance and Folk Magazine".

Warm regards
