Well ... those who know me would say that I love to dance. That goes without saying. LOL. But, I also enjoy listening to really good music.
Many would find it hard to believe that I also LOVE to cook. Yeah, that's right. This old boy can throw down in the kitchen. And no ... I'm not one who cooks alot from the box. Nah ... believe it or not, I prefer to make my dishes from scratch. Now I know this takes a lot of time, but it's sort of theraputic for me (... I guess I can say that).
Guess what ... I also enjoy working in the yard. LOL. Go figure! Yep, I can spend HOURS upon HOURS in my yard and not even realize it. I guess I like to use the time to meditate and ponder on where I am in my life and what my next steps should be. Weird, huh?
Guess what else I like to do? I love driving in my car with no music. That's my serious "thinking" time. I guess I sort of picked this trait up since I listen to music so much in my line of work. LOL. Most people would probably go crazy driving in the car without any noise in the background ... but not me. I actually find it a bit soothing to the soul.
Last but definitely not least ... I absolutely LOVE traveling. Ah man ... give me a plane ticket and I'll get a handfull of "get up and go" and be GONE in a heartbeat!!! Love it ... Love it ... Love it. I just wish I could afford to do more of it!!!! :)
Music
I enjoy listening to so many genres of music. I've actually found that my mood will sort of dictate what I prefer listening to at any given point in time.
You will most often find me listening to Jazz or Gospel. But, I'm also a big fan of R&B and Hip-Hop. Furthermore, I often vibe to some House tracks, Reggae, Go-Go, Techno, Disco, and even Blues. Imagine that!!!
Movies
I really don't have a favorite movie; however, there are a number of movies that I really like. Because the genres of these movies vary, it's easier for me to simply say that I like movies that have meaning ... for the most part. I like to be entertained and I realize most of what is depicted in films is fiction, so I tend to not be too harsh a critic when it comes to viewing movies. Depending on my mood, you'll catch me watching ACTION, DRAMA, SCI-FI, and even HORROR. I'm not really big on comedy, but I'll definitely check out a comedy flick every now and then.
Television
Until the invention of TIVO, I wasn't a big television watcher. But now ... OMG! The convenience of being able to record what you want when you want and watch it whenever you want with the ability to skip through commercials is just amazing. This has also spoiled me beyond explaining.
Books
I don't read nearly as much as I used too simply because of time; however, this is one thing I will say I definitely want to do more of. Once my life settles and I have more leisure time on my hands, you can rest assured you'll find me picking up a book here and there.
Heroes
My heros are those who defeat the odds and accomplish things most would typically not have assumed them to be able to accomplish.
About me:
There's so much to say about me, but I dare not tell all.
Professionally ... I'm an international fitness presenter, dancer, and choreographer. I've developed my own style of dance-fitness which has received critical acclaim and has afforded me the opportunity to travel the world working with countless fitness enthusiasts. My style and presentation is synonymous to me and has an appeal that attracks the likes of individuals from numerous backgrounds and demographics.
Culture Shock® Atlanta - I'm also the founder and Executive Director or Atlanta's Premier Hip-Hop Dance Company & Youth Outreach Organization. We provide exciting and captivating hip-hop dance entertainment for schools, corporate and private events, community functions, and industry shows. For more information about my company, be sure to check out my website by clicking on the link above.
Personally ... I prefer to let you be the judge of my character when you get the opportunity to meet and know me (... if you should be one of the lucky ones). Let's just say there are many sides of me and my personality is one that tends to adapt and/or adjust to my present surroundings. Depending on the environment in which you meet me, you may say that I'm a quiet, shy, and reserved individual. Others may say that I'm "Mr. Personality" who lives a life filled with a lot of action, fun, and excitement 24/7.
Quite a disparity in how I can be perceived, huh?
Well, as I said ... it really depends on where you meet me and what I'm doing when you meet me. This plays a major role in the me you meet.
But ... when it's all said and done ... I am simply a man who has much love and respect for my family, my friends, my craft, and my business. I respect those who respect themselves (... and others). I love life and am blessed to be able to help people live life to its fullest! I like to help people allow their inner-most "self" to come out and play. I enjoy being a positive influence and role model for young people in addition to helping the "not-so-young" feel "young at heart".
I like to make YOU feel better about YOURSELF ... all the while having a good time doing it!!!
Who I'd like to meet: I'd like to meet self-driven and motivated individuals who are grounded and secure within themselves about the person they are - regardless of their economic or "fame" status.
