As a guitarist, Kevin O'Shaughnessy has played everything from Rock, Metal, Pop, Musical Theatre, Country, and Jazz. He's performed in venues from Boston to Las Vegas and recently performed at New York's famed Carnegie Hall for a staged reading of a new musical entitled, "Mother Russia," for which he also orchestrated four of the songs. As a composer, Kevin has created concert works such as, "Lullaby," for solo harp, as well as music for dance, and for film. His piece, "Alter Egos," with Choreography by Stephanie Simpson was performed in 2005 by the Emerson College Dance Department, and "Soundscape," with Choreography by Boston Ballet Principal Dancer, Tai Jimenez, was performed at Boston Ballet's Choreographer's Workshop the following year. His work for film includes documentaries like, "Between Two Worlds: A South Asian Identity in America," and "America's Team: Being a US Air Force Thunderbird," as well as short films such as, "St. Milly," and "Burn." Kevin is a highly skilled Conductor and Musical Director, as well as a Recording Engineer and Producer. In addition to writing and performing in the Boston area, Kevin is also a staff Producer for Demo My Song, based in Seattle, Washington. He graduated Cum Laude from The Hartt School with a degree in Music Theory, and Summa Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music with a Professional Diploma in Film Scoring, and is highly sought after as an educator.
